What can I say, I love this game. I have had a long relationship with this game. I 19 years old now and just a short 7 years ago a stranger, but my soon to be best friend told me to check out this game on steam. Within the first week this is about all I played. Starting off in 3.0 beta on Canada with the game not even being close to finished, I had so much fun. Now, 7 years later I am still playing the same game with the same person. Ill be the first to admit that playing this game solo is not the way to go. Do whatever you have to, to play with some kind of friend. Because sharing the wide variety of emotions that this game offers you, is bound to make some lasting friendships. The game is great but it has some flaws. The ability to build practically indestructible cars that give you protection is broken. The fact that you can log off with your best loot on you is broken. The fact that there are VERY few 100% vanilla servers on this game is disappointing. The survival aspect of the game has really never been so low. It is way too easy to survive against nature. The community has pushed the game to much less of a survival game and much more of a pvp game. The maps are all very similar and I only ever find myself playing Russia because of it's loot progression. I'm very excited to see Unturned 2 under development because this game has been breaking down. There are serious optimization problems. I am not able to hit 100fps anywhere in Russia with Medium settings on a i9 9900k and a gtx1080 ti. Having 3rd person enabled on pvp servers is terrible. It ends up being a game of who gets bored first while 2 people stay in cover behind corners. There's a lot of work that needs to be done to make Unturned 2 successful. Besides those main problems, the game is still great. Combat system is enjoyable. Exp and leveling is balanced, easter eggs and quests give you something to do if the server is low pop or you need a break. I still get super hyped up when I see some sort of plane or helicopter. I still get adrenaline pumping in my veins when engaging an enemy. I still have fun with my closest friends even if I get killed and need a 3 hour comfort-food break. The game is fun and not completely broken,, and that is what matters to me. As a fan of the roblox game deadzone and now seeing the progress that is taken place in Unturned 2, all I can say is I'm hopeful. I'm hopeful that this game will bring me another 7 years of enjoyment. Thank you Nelson, very cool <3.
