Alright first things first the Berserker perk litearlly allows you to smack things with a shovel and thats just metal. My friend gifted me this game during the summer sale as a way for our group to get into something new and so far its been a blast. All the perks (classes) play in their own unique way well as unique as playing a mindless monster killer can be which makes leveling different ones not feel like chore and you can still buy the shovel as a medic which again hilarious to me. The progression doesn't feel muddied down by artificial walls its literally just load in, kill ♥♥♥♥, you'll level. The list of playable maps is huge and range anywhere from small to big, serious to comedic there is one where you have to help Santa save Christmas. Basically the variety in the game itself is huge so no two games back to back feel the same. Now for the bad. Boss fights can be a tad annoying as usually there's so much going on at once it can get hard to tell what attack the boss is doing when and next thing you know you're in pieces because of a stray grenade. There is no revive/downed feature so if you die during a round you're out till the next one and that feels pretty bad because the only way you earn meaningful money is by killing mobs so once you die you not only lose all the things you bought but also start out broke. BUT, the biggest crime imo is the fact that you have to buy extra guns. While dlc is free and all the classes have a good variety of weapon choice from the get go if you want any of the cool and interesting new guns released you have to buy them with real money or the slight silver lining in hoping that one of your teammates have bought them because then its unlocked for everyone for that one game. Which is a shame because a lot of weapons look and are fun but being solidly locked behind a paywall on a game thats already a 30 dollar price tag when not on sale blows. Purchasing cosmetics for weapons, guns, and the such I can understand, but having to actually buy extra game-play essentially sucks and if they attached some of the older weapons to prestige ranks I think it'd be a good enough compromise. The game also has awful load times if you aren't on an ssd at least.

tldr:
Pros: very fun, and mindless game (at least at lower difficulties) esp with friends. Unique classes and maps. Characters also banter with one another. Shovel.
Cons: The game takes ages to start up. Monetization is pretty damn greedy for a game priced at 30 bucks, but if you are fine with the base weapon choices its nbd since there is a wide variety to begin with. Clowns.
