Things I didn't like:

-Ranged and Mage can't be levelled up. So you're stuck with melee as the only combat skill that is viable.

-There is a powerful melee weapon that is obtained WAY too early in the game, while in actual Runescape it's a very late game weapon due to how powerful it is, it trivialises the early to mid game completely. (The devs and those who have obtained it know exactly what I'm talking about). There no reason a player with bronze armour should be walking around with that weapon equipped. It just doesn't make sense. It seems as though that they've just used the Runescape name to help sell the game rather than use the actual lore in a meaningful way.

-Monsters clip into the environment whilst fighting them. When you attack a monster it pushes them back a small distance with each swing, if there is a wall or a piece of the environment behind them they will clip into it and will get stuck, and you won't be able to attack them any longer.

-Camera sensitivity is SO HIGH as of the latest patch, that I needed to lower it all the way down to 2 out of 10 for it to be playable, and it's still pretty fast, but that's how I like it, but anything above 2 and it's nearly impossible to control your camera movement.

-There isn't an option to tilt things you build so they lay flat on inclined surfaces. It will just look like half is clipping through the ground while the other half is visible.

-Basic jumping in this game has to be the most frustrating thing ever. I hate it. Just make the jump a tiny little bit higher and it would fix it. I can't be the only one who tries to jump on a rock for 5 minutes straight because my jump is too short, or I over shoot the jump because I'm sprinting. There's no way I'm using the jump spell for a jump I know I can make with a basic jump.

-When teleporting or entering or exiting a dungeon, your character is left floating in the air for about 3-4 seconds while the area renders in around you.

-A LOT of in-game content such as Ranged and Mage are incomplete and we're left with a "Coming soon" in place of it. Content like quests, recipes, weapons, armour, etc.

-Item stack weight is not collectively added up in the inventory for you, so you're left to do the calculations yourself to see how much a total stack weighs in your inventory. It only shows the weight of 1 item, instead of the entire stack.

-Animations for certain combat related spells take way too long to cast, I'm talking upwards of 3-5 seconds.

-Items dropped in the world never de-spawn and have to be manually deleted.

-When hovering an item, the item options disappear after clicking on said item and you have to re-hover over the item again to bring up all the item options again.

-When building, pieces don't snap into place in the direction that is most obvious. For example, when building a basic 4x4 base and adding walls, instead of the walls snapping into place in the same direction as the foundation, or in the same direction of the wall before it, it snaps into place in completely different direction and I have to use my mouse wheel to rotate it in the correct direction every single time. Really annoyed me.

Things I liked:
-Visually pleasing

-Music is phenomenal

-Decent amount of options when it comes to building pieces and decorations making for a lot of variety when it comes to building and making your base look unique.

-Combat with the only fully working combat skill, melee, is great so far. Has some souls-like aspects, like managing your stamina bar, timed-parrying, roll-dodging, and fully committing to your action. There is no animation cancelling, so if you attack, block, or roll dodge, you are committed to that action. Spells, food and potions play a crucial role in combat to buff your player offensively, or defensively.

-Spells offer a lot of utility which greatly saves time on repetitive or boring tasks.

-Dungeons are small (so far), but have a great implementation of traps and hidden areas. Enemies are well placed, and early game dungeons slowly ease you into the necessary combat skills you'll need later on. Definitely still needs a lot of work though.

-Quests do not hold your hand. You have to figure them out yourselves by exploring, using your journal and connecting clues together. A Runescape classic for sure.

-You're hunted, or attacked quite often making for exciting game play and giving you something extra to do. You either have to defend your base from war bands, defend yourself from hunters, or make sure you don't get barbecued by a dragon.

-Sleeping/resting has a very important use in this game. If your character is not rested you will lose part of your stamina bar which affects your overall combat. Making it so you need to visit your base often, to rest, or use the utility spells you've unlocked to provide temporary shelter to rest.

-Teleportation in this game is one of my favourites in the survival genre. Being able to place teleportation nodes where ever you want provides great utility for mid to late game, and it's not free, you need law runes to teleport.

In it's current state, I'd rate it a 5/10. It definitely needs A LOT of work, and I know it's early access, but it feels more like it's in an Alpha state if anything. It's understandable when a small indie company releases a game in Early Access, they might need the funds to help them finish the game, but for a large, profitable, and successful company like Jagex that has vast amounts of resources, this just seems like a cash grab. I don't have respect for companies like that who take advantage of the player by throwing on well known IP onto the name of the game to garner hype, and then release what is essentially an Alpha game as "Early Access". You're essentially paying to play a game in Alpha in it's state. I can safely assume that the game you're playing today will be completely 100% different than the game it will be when fully released. My main issue is them releasing the game without fully working combat skills. I was excited to play as either a Ranger or a Mage but even with the gear sets, the combat skills feel a lot weaker in comparison to melee. Melee can be levelled up providing extra benefits such as reduced stamina for attacks, special attacks, and extra attack move sets, whilst with Ranged and Mage you're stuck with base level 1. There are tomes of experience that can level up your Ranged and Mage skill, but these levels do not provide any benefit as there are no skills in your skills page regarding these combat skills. The only time I found Ranged and Mage to be useful is in the very early game, or when I need to attack an enemy I can't physically reach, or to start a fight from a distance to gain an advantage. Other then that, Melee is clearly superior to the other 2 combat skills.

Completed all content available in the game in just about 20 hours. I found it laughably easy. Even the fight against the Dragon was trivial. I didn't need to use a single ward stone or healing potion because the dragon didn't hit me a single time. There's not enough content and not enough reason to keep playing the game. I wouldn't recommend purchasing the game in it's current state, especially for the price it's set at. It's no where near complete, and you're really not getting a bang for your buck out of this one. I'd wait at least a few months, maybe even 6 months just to be safe then come back and check on it again. We'll see how frequently this game is updated and missing content is added, but for now I cannot recommend buying this game. The current content is not enough to justify it's price. 20 hours of game play does not justify it's price what so ever. They shouldn't have released this game in it's current state. I would refund it if I could, and I highly recommend waiting for more content before purchasing this game.

I've played mostly on PS5, but I've started to mainly play on Steam. This game is an absolute masterpiece. From the artwork, graphics, sound effects, and visual effects, to the character models and animations and core mechanics of the game. Everything is so smooth, I feel so immersed whilst in a battle. You feel the power of your character, the force behind every blow, the speed behind every movement. With a MASSIVE character roster to choose from, and multiple different skills and abilities for each character to help make each unique and stand out.

There is plenty of PvE content through Episode battles, with hope in the future that many more will be added. There are plenty of Custom battle content made by players and shared world wide that are playable. You too can create your own custom battle. Ever wish things could have went differently in a specific episode? Well you can change that with the power of Custom battle. Create your own scenarios with your own story, script, and characters, and then play through it and share it in the end!

I haven't dabbled too much in PvP, but in the lower ranks it seems pretty fun. Expect everyone to play their favorite OP characters though and rightly so! You paid for the game, so play whom ever you desire! Whether it's Krillin or Vegito Blue!

10/10 game, highly recommend. Especially if you love Dragon Ball and wish to immerse yourself in battles you can only fantasize about otherwise.

Good game so far. Loading screen art is very detailed and beautiful. The menu screen music suits the art style and the style of the game. Plenty of servers for various different regions. In-depth settings system. Has controller support.

I'll have to update this review later on once I've logged in and played the game.

UPDATE:
After playing 130 hours I can safely say that I love this game and I've been thoroughly enjoying it. Even though it's early access and there are a few things here and there that need to be looked at, this game is a masterpiece when it comes to the artwork and its visual details. The game play can be slow at first, but as you get into the late game it significantly ramps up and you start feeling invincible until you let your guard down an you get killed by an on-death mechanic lol. But in all seriousness, you can't go wrong with giving this game a go when it comes out. It'll be free, and for a free game, I'll tell you right now it's better than a lot of Pay to Play AAA games out there, even though the game is in early access, I can confidently say that.

Great job GGG! You've won me over and I expect to sink in hundreds of hours into this game.

UPDATE: After getting to the endgame and being forced to trade for gear I simply cannot recommend this game to anyone. The trade system in this game is abysmal. In order to trade you first have to spend about $10 to purchase a 'Premium Tab' where you place the items you wish to sell. Those items are then listed on a website where people will search for these items and then whisper you in-game to trade with you. If you're looking for an item, you have to visit this website, which is outside of the game, search for your item, whisper the person who listed the item and hope to God they invite you to trade. Most of the time they are AFK and don't respond, and OMG you're in for a ride if you're trying to buy a highly sought after item. You will spend HOURS filtering through the same item, whispering HUNDREDS of different people competing with THOUSANDS of players who are messgaing the same person all to never get the item in the end. I write this review after spending the last 4 hours using this dumb trade website in order to buy the last remaining item to complete my build and I wasn't able to get it in time. So I have to try again tomorrow. What a terrible, horrible, idea that wastes time, resources, and energy. Who ever implemented such a trade system should be utterly ashamed of themselves.

This game is a diamond in the rough. I'm having a great time playing it so far. Very similar to RS3 in terms of movement and combat. Various skills, with a classless system. My one gripe with this game and it's why I can't recommend it to anyone is the quest system. You can fail quests, and because of the auto-save feature if you fail, you fail permanently, meaning if you're a completionist and you fail a quest, you have to restart your play through. This happened to me twice in the beginning of the game which wasn't a big deal, so I restarted twice. It starts to become an issue when you're mid way through the game and you fail a quest. Now you're left with a choice to make, either restart again and go through it all again, or continue playing failing several quests along the way and never complete the game until you have a perfect play through or follow an in-depth guide/walk through on how to complete the game.

That's just not my thing, I like to complete single player games on my own. Without any guides or a walk through, and to have to suffer in a constant cycle of failing quests and restarting to do it all over again is painful. It torments me the moment I fail a quest knowing that I have to forgo all of my previous progress and restart.

Great game, but I simply cannot recommend this game until Olipa Games changes the quest system to allow you to "re-try" failed quests.

6.5/10 - Easily an 8/10 if they fix the quest system.

I enjoyed this game a lot. The combat is really smooth, and not as clunky as Dark and Darker. The PvE is really enjoyable and fun. The PvPvE is also really good. My biggest issue is with the 3v3 team death match. If one team wipes the other team they can enter their spawn point and wait for them to spawn and immediately kill them again. Seems like a really huge oversight from the devs, but this made me immediately quit the game. I can't say I can recommend it with such a huge oversight. That alone made me drop the game. Maybe if they fix it, I'll play again and I could recommend it, but until then. here's this review.

Crazy how this has mixed reviews. The DLC is an absolute masterpiece. This is FromSoftWare we're talking about. Were you all expecting Miyazaki to hold your hands throughout the entire play-through? How can you expect anything different than what we've been given? We all knew it was going to be hard. This is my first Souls-like game and I've mostly enjoyed my time playing it. I struggled with each and every single boss, and certain elite mobs, but I kept pushing through until I beat it. I would have been so disappointed had I been able to beat any of these bosses within the first few times. If you're upset that your build isn't doing enough damage or you're taking too much damage, then you should probably go explore more and look for the blessings as those increase your damage dealt and decrease damage taken. Don't expect to fly through just because you had an OP build in the base game. The scaling for the DLC is perfect. It should be extremely difficult.

If you've given this DLC a negative review because it's "too hard" then all I have to say to you is, "Git gud".

The DLC is MASSIVE and might as well be a sequel to Elden Ring.

This game has made me a Souls fan for life, and the DLC only cemented that fact.

Thank you FromSoftWare for the masterpiece that is Elden Ring.

Absolute masterpiece. The worst mistake you could make is not try this game. The best open world, souls like, action rpg game I've ever played. If you enjoy a challenge, and enjoy playing games your way, then you should definitely give this game a go!

It's crazy to me that this game, that's still in early access and is no where near complete is better than any other monster-catching game I've ever played! I haven't had so much fun playing a survival/monster-catching game before.

The game is still in early access so it still has a lot of bugs. But the concept and the way it was implemented is better than anything else I have seen. The game is incredibly fun. You can shoot Pals, capture Pals, make Pals work for you, breed Pals to create stronger ones, battle wild pals with your Pal. Build a base, and defend against raids with your Pals with mounted weaponry specifically for your pals. Pals can use guns too! There are Pals that use Grenade launchers, Miniguns, Rocket Launchers and more. Or turn a Fire Pal into a handheld Flamethrower. Sick of farming out materials? Get your Pals to do it for you! There's a lot to do! Right now I'm trying to breed and upgrade the most powerful Pal in existence so that I don't ever have to fight a wild pal myself again. My pal will do all the legwork from now on :)

As this game is right now, I cannot justify recommending it to anyone. The idea is excellent, but the execution is not so great. The game is no where near complete and is full of glitches, bugs, and hackers. The whole idea of building demolition is great, but the buildings fall like pieces of Lego, and it makes for the most awkward gun fights ever. You can get stuck in-between 2 walls with absolutely no way to move and you have to either kill yourself or wait to be killed, unless you're the Heavy class. There's a prominent reload bug right now with the medium class where after you reload, you can't shoot your gun, or heal others with your heal gun until you die. The toxic mines are way too strong and make for extremely stale tower defence game play. The toxic gas will tick you for 20-30 dmg per tick (every second), and it lasts for what seems like an eternity, probably around 45 seconds. and there is absolutely no counter play around it. Even if you shoot the mine it will still have the same effect and last for the same duration. The map boundaries are barely visible and you'll find yourself jumping to your death, or smashing through a wall only to find yourself dropping to your death. The throwing knives have no projectile trail and you can't tell where the knives are coming from until you get hit. You can see and hear multiple knives being thrown but its impossible to tell where they are coming from. The projectiles are barely visible, and leave no trail behind. Adding a stealth mechanic in a FPS game hurts the skill expression of the game. Especially when they are actually invisible. Whats the counter play to killing something that you can't see 100% of the time if played correctly? There is none. Right now this game is a mess, and it absolutely pisses me off that companies think they can release a game that is no where near complete just so they can fill their pockets with money from their micro-transactions.

It's a great game, but I'm going to hold off on playing it until the game is fixed. Until then, I don't recommend this game to anyone.
