After 154 in game hours as of this review, as well as two 100% completion play-throughs on both hard (NG) & infamous (NG+), this is a cracker of a game.

Best Far Cry IMO, even beating out 3 with the two different games having comparable story's in terms of quality. However, the latter half of 5 outperforms the shocking performance in 3, with the villains remaining interesting and menacing throughout in Far Cry 5, as opposed to the rather lacklustre second half of Far Cry 3.

What really brings this game up however is the gameplay, specifically the fantastic gunplay. Headshots are satisfying to land, the optics are actually useful (unlike Far Cry 3 where they are almost unusably bad), after a short burst of firing from the hip the crosshair dissapears and you can instead use your stream of tracers to aim. Overall very satisfying and addicting.

Really good game, thoroughly recommend buying and playing at least 2 playthoughs, as infamous difficulty really adds a challenge which pushes you to your limits and beyond.
