Only been playing for the first few hours, but this game is almost everything I've been wanting for years, and more. It really feels like an old Japanese PS2 game, but in all the best ways. The handling is fun, but challenging to master, the car selection and customization is well done, it's chalk-full of that old Genki charm from back in the 2000s, and it's extremely well optimized too. I am absolutely shocked at how good this game is after nearly 20 years since the last one.

It's not perfect, though my complaints are relatively minor. The game is, at least early on, way too easy. The AI opponents seem to have a hard time navigating around the traffic properly, and it's really easy to trap them and easily pull away. Going wheel to wheel with them is fun, but it's extremely easy to exploit the health loss from contact to rapidly drain an opponent's SP bar by just repeatedly ramming them, or riding their bumper. If you give the game some grace, and try not to exploit the mechanics though, it's still a fun time.

I highly recommend this game to anybody who's been wanting to experience an old school, single player Arcade racing game with a beefy campaign, and loads of personality. Genki knocked it out of the park with this one, and I'm very excited to see this game be finished over the next year. I really hope this game sells well, I desperately need more games like this.

The game is quite enjoyable, especially with friends. However, it is impossible to recommend it due to the PSN requirement. This raises a lot of genuine security concerns, and is overall a terrible move for the game's health.

It's a fun time, but don't support this type of behavior from publishers.

Absolutely fantastic on all fronts. Looks great for a Source Engine mod, and has some utterly visceral combat and shootouts. The fact that this is free is absolutely incredible. Bravo to the entire dev team, this is one of the best mods I've ever played.
