I hadn't played an Ace Combat game before, but if this is anything to go by, I might be interested. Project Wingman is an incredible game from an indie studio that wanted to make a fun arcade flight combat game. If you think you'd like that, you probably will. The story has a good amount of fun camp, the visuals are fantastic, and by the end you'll have a groove of cycling missiles while chasing targets with your machine guns. After going for the 100%, I will never touch conquest mode again.

Probably not the best entry point into the franchise, but this was really fun. I regret trying to be a completionist though, it gets very grindy without the fun antics and solid storytelling of the main game.

Interesting concept and absolutely worth it for the price. Don't try to 100% it unless you really like gambling and/or dying, but hey, that's part of the fun.

Black Skylands is a solid game, but it's missing the extra spark to make it truly memorable. I found myself skipping most of the story because it felt like boilerplate. The weapon variety was nice, but it would have been more interesting if there were less weapon mods with larger visual impact. It probably also would have helped if there was a more gradual procession with upgrades as I often felt like I was doing mostly the same thing over and over again with upgrades making me very powerful for a while before eventually upscaling enemies (this process happens in most upgrade-based games, but is more noticeable in this case). By far the best part of this game is the level design, level art, and base mechanics. Soaring around in a custom skyship while grappling across stages is really fun, but the shooting gameplay dragged the experience down and the tier-locked upgrade materials became useless rather quickly. I'm still giving this a positive review because I liked it, but I probably wouldn't have gotten this if it wasn't part of a Humble Bundle. It has the core of something great with clear effort, so I could easily see the developers improving on the flaws of Black Skylands in their next project.

Vampire Survivors is a solid game with a great community and awesome devs. Not much else you could ask for :)

Pros: the gameplay is tight, challenging, and mostly fair, the art is solid, there's a variety of enemy designs and level designs, replayability is well-tuned, the music is a bop, and the health spending system definitely grew on me.

Cons: very grindy for the 100% and the way that items are added to the item pool makes it so that you're pushed to research what they do so you don't accidentally permanently add a "bad" item to the pool. Might be better to do it like gungeon where you still buy items for the pool, but the item pool store has limited stock that needs to be wiped out before refreshing it with new items. Curses range from essentially nothing to run-ending, so they can be highly variable, especially in the early game before you can buy the curse choice ability (early game enforces that you shouldn't take curses ever).

This list of minor annoyances could go on for a while, but the main idea is that Revita is a great game that remains unpolished and somewhat unwelcoming to initial players. If you can live with that, there's plenty to like here.

I love great text-based RPG games which are a severely underutilized genre, and this is one of them. It's got plenty of unique characters and additional pixel-art/music to make it more immersive. The endgame is a bit weak, but the majority of this was a solid experience.

While it's missing something in making the endgame more balanced or unique, Lunacid is an impressive venture into the unknown and the tragic beauty of a decaying world. The combat is iffy sometimes, but the adventure aspect is spot-on. Check it out if you want to see a fresh variant of Kingsfield.

It's a little less campy than the original, but it's beautiful, has revamped areas, and has the bingo line. Capcom is 3/4 for the RE remakes, which is unfortunately far above the industry standard.
