I expected more from ck3, I got tired of the game real fast, I can't tell what's the problem, but compared to CK2 this game feels hollow. There are certainly improvements but the game doesn't feel right. Depending on how you play the game, getting primogeniture succession in 1250 isn't really fun. Since I usually start my games at 867 and since the game ends on 1453, having 2/3 of the game without primogeniture isn't suited for me. Certainly it's really easy to fix, since the default succession are equality but that gets countered by disinherinting your sons so that only one guy inherits everything. It certainly is more challenging, but it's difficulty is lacking. One of the major exploits of the game is by having a lot of counties, the penalties for having extra counties stop at 90% so therefore if you had 40-50 counties, you could single-handedly conquer the entire world when you hit the empire rank. I feel like there needs to be a change to prevent this, since the moment you become an emperor and create alliance to counter the revolts, the game becomes too easy. There a lot of cool new mechanics on the sequel, but the game is missing juice, maybe the expansion will provide something more interesting. Also, the early crusades by the Pope are useless...participating in them is just a deathwish when you start off as a lowly count and converting your people to your religion is just annoying, the early and mid-game are difficult with late game being impossibly easy.

It's a really fun game which I got for free when it was 100% off during a steam event, the game is really complex so you never get bored. I played like 40 hours in 3 days, so it's safe to say that this game is very addictive. But a single player game last for around 30 hours which is a bit long which I don't mind, but I feel like the base game is incomplete, they incorporate DLC stuff in the game which you have to buy which kind of sucks. But otherwise, the game is really fun.
