I must say, I really like this game a lot. It has a very good and pretty simple interface, it's approachable by everbody (I haven't played any city simulation games before and got to grips with the game after just the instructions provided). The graphics are good as well, you have a detailed world, filled with interactivity and just a plain lot of things to do. You can look at your citizens, analyse the Trucks, look where they're headed and just find many thing about your people just by clicking around a bit.
But I must get now to the real issue I've had with the game: the saving process. It happen to me twice that the game crashed just before saving. The first time I thought it was a fluke, because I've been using some mods as well and I figured one could have been unstable. I then played two more times and uninstalled all the mods. I didn't want to risk 2 hours of gameplay getting lost once again. But despite all these mesures, it happpend again. I am really sad to report this but this game simply isn't reliable. It's all nice until you get to the saving part, when you just pray and hope for the best.
This might not be the case for you, but for me it just ruins the whole experience. It's worse than having bad graphics or a unintuitive menu, it means you can play for hours and nothing is registered. You must start over the next time.
So I guess it's conclusion time now. Cities Skylines is a great game hindered by only a tiny error, but one that remids you every time it occurs, that you spent 2 or more hours of your life for nothing.
