Completely unique experience, wish I could forget everything and play them all again blind!
Both 999 and VRL are amazing games, also buy ZTD after and finish that as well.

2016 me - Amazing.
2019 me after having now played both 999 and VRL - Amazing.
So in 2016 I bought and played this game without any knowledge either of its predecessors even existed until after I had finished the game, however at the time both 999 and VRL were not playable on PC to my knowledge at least.
However when they finally released the Nonary games on steam I bought them but delayed playing them for some unknown reason. Last week I was bored and started 999 now 1 week later and roughly 50+ hours of game time across all 3 games I have re-finished ZTD, and boy does it make alot more sense now! There are plot holes, there are flaws with the animation, the game is not as conclusive as alot of people may have hoped. Nonetheless the game is amazing and a brilliant wrap up to the trilogy...just don't think to hard about the game or it will probably break your mental, instead just let it take you on a ride!
Please play 999 and VRL first though, trust me on this.
