Defintitely a recommendable card based game. I've spent my fair share on Slay the Spire, Gwent, Hand of Fate series and a couple of other Card based RPG's.

Good:

- Artwork and general style
- Synergies between cards and passives
- Good base of skilltree, talents, stamina VS will when upgrading.
- When a character dies, their cards stay in deck for that battle, adds to immersion and not wanting to lose characters
- Limited healing options, its just enough to scrape by and most of the time if you heal you have to pass up on essential upgrades that would let you get strong enough to beat the warden.
- Multiple paths to choose from and overall pretty balanced that way

Needs a little work:

- Music, the base is good but if you're on a long playtrough it gets kinda repetative
- Attack animations
- choosing your own duo instead of fixed character duo's. Might be easier to get OP that way though

Needs a LOT of work

- Content

In all fairness to @GoblinzStudio this is an early access game. And for one it's pretty gnarly.
But the enemies you encounter on stage one two and three have almost no variety, and after three playtroughs i could recognize the ones that needed to be taken out first immidiately, on playtrough number three or four i could face the elite encounters skip almost the whole third stage and still take out the final boss. On the skin of my teeth but still.

Everything combined: This game has a lot of potential. They've spent a lot of time on artwork, and the framework is solid.
If they add more encounters, more enemies and variety in how they are positioned, more weapons to choose from, more talents/ passives etc. etc. Then this could be the next genre classic

f you like rogues, and card/turn based games this is a perfect fit. Still needs a little fine tuning on some aspects; but even in early access this was money well spent !
