I finished this game 2 years ago. I've opened it from time to time to show my friends, but I finished the main story + DLC of this game 2 years ago.

This game has stayed on the forefront of my brain since I left the Prisoner and saw credits roll for the final time.

I have looked for a game like Outer Wilds, I have tried playing new games in the hopes they would be like Outer Wilds, and it has led me to a sound conclusion.

There will never be a game like Outer Wilds.

This game fundamentally changed my life, it set a new standard for story telling and exploration in every single game I play from now on.

When the Echoes of the Eye theme played over the Prisoner's story, I audibly yelped and tears began coming. I did not realize how attached I had become to this game's story, its music, its lore, and its world.

Outer Wilds is an experience you wish you could relive, but one that will shape every way in which you consume stories forever. Play this game. Play this game and know NOTHING about it. I have purposely not divulged specific details outside of a few tidbits to contain the mystery of the experience for you.

Buy both the base game & the DLC too.

I really wanted to like this DLC. I gave it every single chance I could. Even as things went wrong, I still held out hope that it would somehow get better. 10 hours into playing the DLC now, and I just closed the game and will not be opening it until it gets a SEVERE patch.

1.050 hours into Risk Of Rain 2, I guess you could say I love this game. It is my most played game on steam by over 700 hours, and it has been the #1 thing I have played over the past 3 years.

Initial hype carried me through the launch day problems. Chef is cool, but Seeker is awful if you're not abusing the double damage multiplayer glitch, and was the False Son added at the last second just so they could say they had 3 new survivors?

Every run I have launched has brought about a new, unique way in which the game has ♥♥♥♥ the bed. The runs are absurdly difficult for 0 reason. Gilded enemies spawn in droves, and deal half my health on the 3rd stage of the game. Difficult yes, but impossible game play is a no.

Let's compare the content from Survivors of the Void to Seekers of Storm

Survivors of the Void added the following
A new game-mode
2 survivors+monsoon skins
5 stage environments
A new boss
4 new interactables
11 monsters
2 elite variants
41 Items

Seekers of the Storm
3 Survivors (semi-unfinished at best)
6 new environments (I actually quite like these)
2 artifacts
New skins for all survivors (16 in total)
4 monsters
2 interactables
2 elite variants
17 new items (many of which either DO NOT WORK, or are game breaking)

Both DLCs cost 15$. It has become abundantly clear that Gearbox has decided to steamroll new content out as quickly as possible, and patch it later, all in favor of making a quick buck from the welcoming fun community Risk of Rain as an IP has fostered.

I feal cheated out of my money and my time. Any future DLCs of this game should take special time and care to avoid this. I will not be purchasing a DLC on launch day in the future for this game.

Peace out until further notice risk of rain 2, hopefully this isn't goodbye.

Just finished the game. Somehow, the first game, which has become one of my favorite I've ever played, is topped by this one. This game has more heart, comedy, story, character, and quality than the first game (which already had a lot). It ties into the first game in an unexpected way that made it all the more fun to continue playing, and the concept of multiple endings and choices actually mattering means I'll be diving back in for a second play through really quickly.

If I had to have complaints, I'd say the walking mechanics and the needing to always walk to each location is a bit annoying. If I've already been somewhere, I'd like to fast travel maybe? But I understand that story beats often happen as I make my journey across the island, so I will acknowledge that I am nitpicking a bit here.

The inclusion of Alex and the crew from the first game is as exciting as it is harrowing. Not only do you realize you never escaped at the end of the first game, you also see what's happened to the character you played as. Going back to the original island from Oxenfree 1 is such a fitting tee up for the finale of the game. Night School Studio has so much reverence for the stories they have been creating, and the care put into each facet of the game is on full display. This is fan service and legacy storytelling done RIGHT. The concept of choosing your own path at the end, and either sacrificing yourself of saving Olivia, is one I sat on for a long time. The first thing I will be doing is going back and playing again, but this time bringing Jacob with me along for the finale, as I made the choice to leave him behind initially. I want to see how it changes.

That's what is the most special thing about this game, I want to play it AGAIN. Not only did it have me hooked for 7 hours straight, it made me want to experience it again to see what else different could happen.

9/10 game, excited to see what Night School Studio does next

Gameplay is unfinished and sometimes just doesn't work. This was my most anticipated game of 2021 and it disappointed me greatly. So many parts of the game lead to a dead end and just waste your time and overall it was an experience that I would not return to. After 4 hours I managed to do one ending but I had already lost interest for a game that I was so excited for for over a year
