Helldivers 2 has raised the bar for patriotism, camaraderie and dedication to freedom in gaming. It embodies the very essence of what it means to be a hero. Diving headfirst into the heat of battle to spread democracy to the communist bugs or precision striking tyranny out of every circuit board in the robots. This isn't just a game; it's a rallying cry for all patriots to stand tall and fight for the values that make The United Earth Force great.

One of the few open world games that i didn't want to play the main quest line, because i didn't want it to end.

This game Stole most of a month from me, and i apologized to it for ever doubting it could.

They need to fix the matchmaking, and if you play with more then one other person every encounter drops legendary items and i don't get that. Still a great game though.

They need to fix matchmaking and game invites and my achievments aren't being awarded when i get them but its still real fun.

Below is my review from several years ago, the game has slowly and consistently shifted its design focus to a point where it feels like not only is there less thought put into the development but they want you to put in less thought as a player. All of the fun unique elements are slowly being ironed out into a bland and sad game with only the bones of what we initially liked left behind.

Buy this game with a group of friends and have fun with the specific tech each operator has, try new things and ignore the teamates who say it's stupid if you're in casual.
