Hey, yeah I figured it out. You have to type in certain scripts. to skip the cutscene altogether. After that, the whole game worked like a charm, never had any more game breaking bugs. If you can't find it by googling it, message me cause I totally forgot what they were. Just look up how to bypass intro scene/ execution using script commands.
