Even back when the game was quite popular, the premise behind it was quite confusing to sell to people. It's essentially a virtual open mic night where people get up on stage to either perform jokes/comedy sets, perform music, or even just talk about a manner of topics. The setting is very intimate, being a small bar setting with a performance stage and seats in front fit for about 16 people. People were very creative with what kinds of activities were hosted on this game, from your generic karaoke nights, to very niche categories like therapy talk sessions or prank calling.

Comedy Night gets a thumbs up for me purely based on nostalgia factor alone. If I'm gonna be honest, this is much less a review on how the game currently is (the game is far from what it used to be and I don't go on it anymore), more so just me reminiscing on the good old days. As stated on my Steam profile, I used to host a weekly karaoke night on this game called Lanzie's Jam Time, beginning from 2019 right up until the middle of 2021. In a sea of unfiltered chaos that was the "comedy" section, I managed to gather quite a positive, somewhat wholesome following with the shows I hosted. No mic spamming or racist remarks being passed off as "jokes", just a bunch of people sharing good vibes through their talents. I believe this was the original vision that the developers had intended to pass on with this game, and despite how dead in the water Comedy Night might be now, I am very happy to have been a positive effort in keeping the community somewhat sane.

To anyone seeing this review who might have participated in or helped me run my show when it was around (special shouts go to Mox, Ruben, Doc, Mel, Ben, Goof, Ash, Sock, and so many more): Life got in the way and we may not hang out as much as we used to nowadays, but I hope you guys are having a good afternoon, good evening, or good night. Whatever time it is as you're reading this, I cherish the good times we had, and I thank you all for sharing them with me.
Until the next Jam Time, folks.

Wanna know how Comedy Night survived from 2019-2021? It's this guy right here. Single handedly created a community that separated the civilized peeps from the degens of the dark side of the game.
