The combat is so addicting, the environments are so beautiful and you can pet cats!!!! However, with a game focused so much on story and immersion, the sound bugs out and straight up mutes sword sounds/voices, the side missions are fun for a bit then they just feel tedious and boring. The reward for side missions are so weak that I just tend to skip them entirely. The skill trees are meh, there's the really powerful stuff you get in the first few hours then you just spend your time deciding which skill is the least useless just so you can use your technique points.

TLDR: it's fun for a bit but a combination of bugs and lack of incentive to play the game makes me explode

UPDATE: After completing the story, my opinion still hasn't really changed. Great gameplay, great story, but beyong the main missions, there's truly nothing keeping you in the game. A lot of gear is straight up useless or a headband reskin, side missions get tedious, collectibles become tedious, everything beyond the main story is just meh to me.
