Haven't even played 1/3 of the game and already love it. The FarCry series is truly one of the best!

Are you a fan of RPGs (Role-playing games)? Are you intrigued by the medieval period? And most importantly, do you like riding horses and besieging castles all day long? Then this is the game for you!

Mount & Blade: Warband is a game released on March 30th, 2010, by the Turkish company ‘TaleWorld’ Entertainment. The game is set on a fictional region of Europe called ‘Calradia’ in the year 1257. The objective of the game is rather simple: rule all of Calradia. You start as a lonely man (or woman) who during your childhood dreamt of being a warrior and a leader of a mercenary warband. To recruit more people to your warband you can either recruit villagers or go to taverns located in cities and recruit more experienced people such as Knights, Paladins, Bandits, Hunters etc. (tends to be more expensive). What needs to be kept in mind is that the more people you have in your warband, the more money you need to have to pay their salary, because if you don’t, then lots of people will start deserting from your group.

The game has six different factions you can be part of: Kingdom of Swadia, Kingdom of Rhodocks, Kingdom of Nords, Kingdom of Vaegirs, Khergit Kanate and Sarranid Sultanate. When you join a faction, as either a warrior or vassal, you’ll from then on fight for that faction, besieging castles and fighting against vassals from enemy factions. You may also create your own faction, but then ruling Calradia becomes way more difficult. There’s also the possibility to strengthen your relationship with a vassal by marrying someone from his family.

The way economy works in the game is simple. The currency is ‘denars’ and you can earn them in various ways, such as completing tasks delivered to you by vassals, buy a land to manage a mill, you can, after battles, sell the gear from the enemies, or even raid villages. If you conquer a city from another kingdom or conquer back one of yours, and you become the lord of it, you’re able to hire people to manage the economy of the city, the garrison, and the prisoners.

Overall, my experience with Mount & Blade: Warband was and still is very pleasing. I was pleasantly surprised by how simple this game is. What I liked the most is the combat system. You can choose from how you want your sword to swing to if you want first-person or third person. However, what I disliked the most was the fact that, sometimes AI (Artificial Intelligence) gets stuck in some corners, and I end up losing a lot of troops because of such programming errors. I would certainly recommend you buy the game!

It's a wallpaper engine, pretty self-explanatory. The only issue is the +18 stuff but overall very based
