Dota 2 is undeniably one of the greatest games ever made. I may be a bit biased, having spent a whopping 9 years and nearly 8000 hours playing it. Initially hesitant to move from Dota 1, trying Dota 2 with friends pleasantly surprised us with its superiority.

As a free-to-play MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena), Dota 2 revolves around defending the Ancients, as its name implies. With a roster of 124 heroes, you farm creeps, push towers, engage in clashes, and aim to destroy the opponent's ancient. In normal matches, you're free to choose any hero or role, but in ranked matches, sticking to specific roles is mandatory to avoid reports and punishments.

Buying items in Dota 2 is crucial and can greatly affect your chances of winning. Fortunately, there are plenty of guides to help new players select the right items. Accessing items from the in-game shop is simple, with everything neatly organized on the left side of the screen.

Dota 2 has had a profound impact on my life, both positively and negatively. It can lift you out of dark times or consume all your time. Playing with friends enhances the experience, as communication is key. Whether you make lifelong friendships or succumb to its addictive nature, Dota 2 is a game that leaves a lasting impression.
