In 2008, the movie industry was booming. You had films like Wall-E, a lovable robot, who doesn’t speak, saves humanity, Iron-Man, Tony Stark uses his massive fortune to become a superhero, and Kung Fu Panda, a nobody panda gets to become a master of kung fu. But in the shadows of these blockbuster films, is a lesser known gem of cinematography that, in my opinion, is a masterpiece; Speed Racer filmed by the talented Wachowski Siblings. With a domestic gross of only $43,945,766, the movie was seen as an overall failure. But to me, it was, and still is, one of the greatest movies ever made. When I first saw it, I fell in love with the unique characters and bright colors. It was an explosion of artistic talent packed into one movie.
