I bought this game for the Winter Sale when I was in seventh grade. I am now a junior in College.

It is still in Early Access. By all accounts this is an amazing game made solo, but the developer has turned into a defacto YandereDev, going on side quests for the last 8 years rather than finishing half-decade old features.

Conquest Mode, started in 2019, is unfinished 6 years later. Keep in mind Conquest Mode is the exact same as base game, just with a turn-based board game troop movement in-between matches.
Story Mode, "started work immediately" in 2021, has after 4 years had 1 story mission, 1 AI-Generated SpecOps Mission, and maybe 3 or 4 character illustrations.
I dont think i've seen a new vehicle or gun added to the game in half a decade, but don't quote me on this one.

Infact, speaking of quotes, there is one right below what i'm typing; "The full release of Ravenfield is scheduled to happen around 2021." It is now 2024 and the game is primed to finish by 2026.

Overall, the game itself is severely outdated. Earlier gun+vehicle models and maps are extremely lacking in graphics & animations compared to their slightly younger counterparts, at times leaving you a loadout of a 3-poly roblox pistol & sword, and a high definition silenced sten gun. The developers insistence to go on wild goose chases for unimportant and time-consuming game features has led to a striving modding community to pick up the slack, leading to newer updates sometimes focusing exclusively on just bugs & modding updates, further neglecting the game and further driving the need for modders.

It should not take 11 years to make a simple singleplayer FPS base with a 2 hour story mode, a turn-based risk board, and a generalized modding base to edit the game. It shouldn't have taken 11 years to make a simple singleplayer yandere murder game, and yet here we are.

every single match has a squeaky clean bug that makes it absolutely unplayable because it impacts some sort of game mechanic

i paid 74 cents to unwillingly contemplate my life choices for the rest of my day

i hope you're happy with yourself. This game is the sole reason steam had to add a "Psychological Horror" tag to its game.
