Not as good as Deus Ex, but still a great game.

Good game, but not nearly as good at Deus Ex.

I am a tom clancy games veteran. I started out with ghost recon, rogue spear, raven shield (AKA the last real r6 game).

I initially played the demo for R6S, and was dissapointed as it didn't look or play anything like an R6 game. Against my better judgement, I purchased the game anyways after reading so many positive reviews.

I can honestly say I don't enjoy this game at all. It lacks all the things that made R6 special in the first place: Where do I even begin on this?? No pre mission planning. No single player. You can get shot multiple times and not die. The game plays like a cross between COD/battlefield, with numbers and icons flashing across the screen that completely destroys any semblance of realism. Also, they have stuffed the game full of SJW politics in the form of diversity. Every other character has to be a strong female rolemodel or person of color or both. The original games were classy and not driven by a political agenda (like this and other modern games clearly are) when they included female characters of POC. This just isn't what tom clancy or his games were about at all (he is rolling in his grave I am sure).

I can't even reccomend this game as a multiplayer action shooter. So many better options out there if that is what you want.

Get raven shield if you want to play a real rainbow six game. If you want a multiplayer shooter with some realism, I would suggest insurgency sandstorm or ARMA.

Avoid this garbage.

Pros: Graphics, difficulty, cool weapons.

Buggy. Dumb story, SJW politics forced into the story. Lots of pointless cutscenes, I literally skipped or took my headphones off for most of them. The biggest problem is the game crashing and ruining my saved game (problem can be fixed by windows updates, but this should not be happening at all IMO).

I really have no idea what the developers were thinking with this game. I played the original wolfenstein, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein (both excellent games). This has little to do with either, apart from the nazi imagery.

If you want a graphical showcase ID shooter, I would recommend Doom 2016 instead.

Great game. If you like FPS/Military games and want some realism, buy this. It's a much better use of your money than buying the new COD or BF game that already asks you for an additional $50+ for DLC on a brand new game that's only half-finished.

I grew up on the original DOOM games and they are some of my happiest childhood memories. This new iteration does them justice, and I'm sure will attract many new players. BUY NOW!

What did I like:

-graphics that still hold up
-great shooting, nice guns, good FPS mechanics
-liberating outposts using quasi-stealth is very fun
-creative villians

The bad:
-I didn't like the story, but it's a subjective thing
-too many drug/psychedelic references for my liking (it seems aimed at stoners)
-the missions get quite repetitive
-most skills seem useless
-game is too easy

I would say this game is aimed more at casuals, but it does have something for everyone if you at all enjoy FPS games.

Excellent game, even 16 years later. This is a throwback to the days of excellent PC exclusives. Yes, it is a hard game, and at times frustrating, but well worth your time and effort. The gameplay is timeless, and I would say this is the best of the Hitman games as far as being true to what they were intended to be (difficult, requiring stealth, lots of trial and error, etc).

Excellent RPG. This is definitely one of the best RPGs I've played. It has it's share of bugs, but most have been worked out in patches. It still holds it's own today, and is cheap on steam. Very creepy atmosphere, good characters, and the plot is actually interesting unlke most RPGs which are just trash fantasy,
