When skimming the reviews for this game I see that many people are posting generally about the same issues? The farming is too intense or the materials you gather versus the materials needed for crafting are not balanced. I would like to say that perhaps in the beginning in does feel a bit daunting, like trying to keep your villagers alive for the first winter is definitely the most difficult. However after the first winter things smooth out quickly, you just need to summon enough villagers to do all the tasks for you essentially.

Someone complained that the villagers are constantly needing tools, but all you need is someone assigned to the work-shop to craft said tools. Any assigned villager is essentially self sufficient as long as you have all the appropriate assigned tasks for each villager and enough marker points for them to travel too. It is technically an effort on your part but once you have someone cooking, crafting, gathering, farming and chopping wood for your village you are pretty much just maintaining it.

This game reminded me a lot of Medieval Dynasty at first, with having villagers who needed homes and you needed to build those homes for them and assign them tasks. However the longer I played the more I saw varying differences in the games. The Invasions were a difference, at first it stressed me out thinking how can I get my villagers armed enough for these invasions, however once you reach Iron and make Iron weapons the threats become too easy to handle. I would say that as a negative as there is no " Impending doom" feeling. Even the winter invasions feel a bit lack-luster not very intimidating, typically I kill all the enemies myself before my villagers even need to help out.

If you are thinking of buying this game I would say there are certain pros and cons, if you don't like farming games its probably not for you in the first place. However if you like sim-management, building, village kinda games then you would enjoy it. Just don't forget you need to assign your villagers their tasks and have someone making tools for them and arrows etc. Make sure you build a ton of little covered campfires spread out and keep them lit for winter to prevent anyone from freezing to death. Once you reach a certain point the game becomes too easy and can fall of a little, however still enjoyable! The biggest negative is for me is the challenge of the game, it feels much too easy after the 3rd winter, the enemies should have more variety and less robotic movements, they also sometimes ONLY attack the buildings? So it doesn't feel much like a battle more like your just smacking them till they die while they mindlessly attack your walls.

Other than that I think its a really good game with really good potential to be even better. I am sure the developers will work on the problems! After all it is a pretty new game.

This game, I have a lot to say about it to be honest. I have played it for almost 200 hours, because I genuinely love it so much and constantly go back and play and discover more about the world within. Its a beautiful game, the landscapes immersive and the map is huge! I like the combat for the most part, except that battle-mage does feel a little plain and I usually love making some kind of mage, but since I suck at dodging I always use a shield so I don't die. Haha. The story-line is engaging, and the game is constantly updating and adding more features, there are some bugs of course but its nothing deal-breaking. The Bosses are difficult and make you feel as if you really need to prepare to fight them prior and plan how you are going to engage them.

The building?! The building in this game is SO good, any time I get an itch to build I always come back to this game, there is so many options and I think they nailed the balance between Farming Materials and Building it doesn't feel too much like all you do is grind for a small amount of materials. Its a very rewarding grind > reward system where you get the satisfaction of feeling as if you worked hard for it but it wasn't SO hard you're bored of farming materials. Also being able to change your landscape around your base is so good, dig out a hole on the side of a mountain? Doable. Need more space? Just add more ground. You can literally build your bases ANYWHERE on the map, AND they allow you to have SEVERAL like over 8 bases! The more you upgrade the more you can have, sorry I am not trying to get to Spoil-ery, but you get it. Its a great game, I love it, you might love it too. (:

I will make it quick, this is an early release game with a ton of potential. If you don't like to farm resources heavily you probably wont enjoy it much. There is building and decoration and making things personalized to your taste, and the world building and exploration is very good despite the world *Seemingly* Feeling empty at first which I think is kinda the point.

I do think that if they added some more chests and rewards it would be more satisfying to other people as well, I enjoyed the quest line that is currently available. This isn't a polished game so if your looking for something perfect go play a game that is already fully completed. It is quite buggy so just be prepared to make a ton of saves and restart the game if needed. Other wise I really am enjoying it, the graphics are beautiful the creatures are fascinating, and I love that when you upgrade you see more and more of the wild life! How cool is that!? There are also tough creatures to beat and an "enemy" as well, at first you are GRINDING, but once you get the hang of it and get your first mount/open portals traversing the landscape is much more efficient. Just play the game and take your time exploring all the little areas its very fun to do.

I have 89 hours in the game at this point. I think Ill have 189 by the end of the month LOl. This is a great building game with so much more to do then just build stuff. I have only played single player so I can not comment on the other parts of the game. I do plan on making one on one of the servers, I hope that I will enjoy it just as much when I go out into the community and try and build friendshipes. Many games like this sometimes fall short in this department.

Keep up the great work Devs!!!

I never post on games but this game I have too say something. For a game thats still in alfa I have to tell everyone it is a great little game. They way they have married the adventureing and civ building is very cool. If they keep going doing such a great job with code writing I think this will be a game that is going to be a keeper. The 19.99 is worth it for such a cool game. Can't wait for the next patch.
