Without a doubt the best game I've ever played.
It feels like the developers, designers and artists have been given unlimited budget and time.
Everything is so perfect, it's unbelievable.
0 micro transactions in a game with over 10 million sold copies...!

10/10 on every single parameter.

51 hours into the game and it hasn't crashed a single time (I updated the memory_pool_budgets.csv file).
I've seen glitches and minor bugs, but nothing game breaking at all.

So far this is the best game of 2020 for me.

Pros
- Graphics: It's stunning! Johnny Silverhand looks exactly like John Wick & the details of everything from the road, characters, shops, buildings, shadow, reflection of light, weapons... Everything looks absolutely mind blowing. I've crashed my car 2 times, where something on the road caught my attention and distracted me.
- Environment: Jaw dropping. The level of detail the game designers has put into this game makes it an adventure just to walk around and observe everything around you.
- Difficulty: Blows my mind how the developers managed to balance this game, so you never feel too overpowered or too weak. Specially considered its a sandbox RPG. Kudos!
- Story: The main story is intriguing and John Wick is not click bait, he is a very interesting part of the plot. Yet, I find myself doing side jobs/gigs all the time. No short cuts when writing the story.
- Combat: Hands down the best I've experienced in any RPG.

Cons
- Bugs & Glitches: So far nothing has come close to being game breaking. Every glitch and bug has been minor.
- Spawning of Police: This is probably my only major issue with the game. If you shoot a civilian in the middel of the desert, suddenly police start appearing right behind and in front of you.
- Escaping from Police: It's not a chase like GTA - far from it. You can just drive for 20 seconds in a straight light, and lose all cops on your tail.
- Driving: Looks better than GTA, but is too rigid. Not sure if it's a physics issue or lack of thought put into environment design, but so far I've not found any places where you can make wild jumps or stunts on bike or car.

My PC:
AMD Ryzen 3600X
GTX 2070 Super 8GB OC
16 GB DDR4
SSD 1TB

Final Verdict:
Could easily have lived up to all its hype. Even though it's a blast and it works well, it's not complete. Get Red Dead Redemption 2 or something else & come back in a year.

Score: 8/10

34 year old man writing.

I've watched a lot of horror movies throughout my life. Most of them alone during the dark. I've always been scared throughout every movie, but after I finish them, I feel silly for being scared...

I've also played a lot of horror games. Some during the day. The ones that comes to mind as being most scary is probably dead space and one of the older doom games. To be honest, both those games had scary moments in them, but even so, I found myself enjoying them more than being scared.

The most scary thing I do, is probably listen to true crime podcasts, while walking my dog through a forest nearby my home during dark. I always end up watching my back, and take the same short path out of the forest quickly after entering it.

Finally, before actually reviewing the game - I'm an engineer, atheist, husband and a dad - so no, I don't believe in any mumbo jumbo, and I'm the one who gets up during the night when my family hears a noise. So, to say the least - I don't scare easily and I never have.

This game...

Let me put it this way. My heart rate went through the roof, from start to finish. I never relaxed, not a second. So, I had to stop playing and come back to it several times, in order not to suffer a heart seizure. Around 2 hours into the game, I wanted it to be over. Because I wasn't enjoying it. I never did! How could I? I was freaking frightened out of my mind every single second! It was pure torture!!! And I kept wondering, why I put myself through this the whole time.

I tell you why. Because RE2 is like the scariest roller coaster you’ll find. It's something you need to experience, even though you'll regret it during the entire ride. Because once it's over, you can be proud that you didn’t cower away from the challenge! I guess to complete the picture, the roller coaster lasts for several hours, and once you think you completed it – there is a “second” ride... (you get to play the story all over again, but with a different take). Hell NO!

My ratings of this game – 10/10. CAPCOM really went above and beyond. It’s so obvious that no shortcuts were taken, no corners were cut. This game was made with great care, and it shows, as every aspect is incredibly well polished. If I have to point to anything negative it’s probably that I won’t be able to resist the next RE game that CAPCOM releases... and trust me, I HATE THEM FOR IT!

This is the worst VR experience I've had so far.

I was very scepitcal before I bought this game. However Reddit convinced me it's a must have. So I downloaded it and got the 40 must have mods (according to Reddit & Google). After spending some time on getting all the mods enabled and adjusting the ingame settings, my short lived and very disappointing journey into Tamriel began.

Pros:
-----------
+ Swinging a sword around in thin air feels nice. Makes you think you're actually carrying a sword.

+ Shooting arrows with bows is really well made.

Cons:
-----------
- Moving is horrific. You have two options, teleport or walk/run. I don't like teleporting around, as it takes away from the "dragon born" experience... So I chose walk/run. You run for maybe 10-15 seconds and suddenly it feels like you're stuck, because you run out of stamina. It's really frustrating and not something I was getting used to. It made me consider teleporting, but I don't like teleporting through water or during sword fights when I try to move a little back and forth.

- Rotating is hell. It's just way too fast. Even on the lowest setting it will make your head spin.

- Motion sickness. I've played other VR games for 2 hours straight, which are very fast paced and require you to move a lot, and none of them made me feel motion sickness. 10 minutes of SkyrimVR and I felt like throwing up due to the poor implementation of movement and rotation. Did it get better? No it got worse the more I played.

- Unrealistic ragdoll. You cannot penetrate anything with your weapons. You can't chop off limbs and hitting someone with a fatal left blow or with a lot of force, doesn't affect the enemy NPC at all (impact is same as hitting them very softly). Really disappointing.

- Magic. It's really cool that you can blast fire through your hands, but your need to hold your controller way too far down compared to other games, to get the right angle...

- Graphics. Even with top 40 must have mods and highest ingame graphic settings, it looks ancient compared to playing in regular desktop mode. Yes Tamriel looks beautiful, but everything is too damn blurry and the world around you is not interactive, so you can't chop off a tree or set fire to houses.

Conclusion:
-----------
I advise strongly against buying this game (I've uninstalled it), but chances are you'll love it, as the vast majority of people claim it's their top VR experience.

I don't understand why this game has so many good reviews.

When I first saw Youtube trailers I was absolutely amazed! It seemed like a must have, but now I find myself not being able to get into it.

The gameplay is very simple (not necessarily a bad thing) and compose no challenge at all (yes this is bad, very bad). Basically you enter an arena, swing your sword, axe or hammer and kill different waves of very slow enemies. It's really slow, way too easy and after you've had your initial fun of amputating your foes for 20 minutes the fun stops.

Also I don't like how you move in this game. It's really weird. You have to kind of make a "dog swimming" motion with your hands. It takes away from the VR experience.

Should you get the game? I would say no, but what do I know, with so many good reviews, I'm probably just a grumpy fart who doesn't know better.
