I can't speak to performance issues but I've got a pretty solid pc and drop the occasional frame so I can imagine some people will have problems, this is a reasonable thing to be upset by. The dlc is not too hard, do not be deterred by people online saying it is. The bosses do not have endless combos with no end lag I actually feel there's more opportunities for charged heavy attacks than the base game. The new weapons added are really cool and fun to use. Do not expect you're broken base game build to carry you through the dlc, some will some won't. Be flexible and willing to respec you're build like I said the new weapons are really cool and fun and if you find one you want to switch to try it out I'm sure you've got a ton of larval tears from the base game and they added more in the dlc. The map feels massive and with around 40+ hours of content(depending on how slow or quick you go) and with all the new weapons, enemies, bosses, this honestly feels more like elden ring 2 than an add on to elden ring to me.

The game was very enjoyable for the first 2 acts and the first half of act 3 but the last half of act 3 has a lot of encounters that just feel downright unfair like being forced into a fight with 15 to 20 enemies so action economy just obliterates you. This doesn't break the game for me as they are still technically beatable with enough prepping but it does leave a bad taste in my mouth and felt like its something that people should be a bit wary of if that seems like it would ruin the game for you. but seriously up until this point the game was phenomenal.

Overall probably pretty good for most people so probably wait for a sale, if a friend were to ask if they should get this I'd have to say no as it was a complete slog to play through.

The game is ok but certainly nothing special. my main issues could be considered nitpicks to some but they result in an overall unenjoyable time for me personally. Movement in general is incredibly clunky feeling and makes simply running around a chore I don't know if it's just because the controls were made to feel a certain way on controller that just doesn't translate to keyboard well but man it seriously feels clunkier than almost any game I've played. Collecting items isn't a quick pleasant pick up but rather a complete stop to your movement for a bit and then you can start walking again. A major pet peeve of mine is getting my momentum interrupted and with the stuff said previously and the fact that there is a, what feels like to me, incredibly long amount of time between being able to dodge roll and how after getting hit you're forced to stand there for a what feels like an eternity even after the staggering animation from getting hit finishes just results in an overall annoyance to play. Got myself to finish the game and the story was ok, nothing special but not outright bad by any means, I even 3 starred all the hunting grounds trials and did as much side content as well to make sure I was experiencing everything but could not get myself to slog through the frozen wilds DLC.

Great game, pretty funny, very creative. Highly recommended

After a 2 year break I found my save was deleted somehow so my true playtime is probably closer to 60 hours. Honestly this game is more of a very large tech demo that wants to be a movie more than it is a good video game. The tech in it is impressive but the gameplay is very underwhelming. Pretty much each mission boils down to trotting on your horse for like 10 minutes while the characters talk, but since its not just a cutscene you still need to hold the X button and steer the horse, you get to your destination where you shoot a bunch of guys then you get back on your horse and do another 10 minute walk back while they do more talking. There are a few missions here and there that deviate from this path but for the most part it really is almost the same thing every time just in a different part of the map. I will say the story was very good, its the only reason i actually played through to the end of the epilouge but for me personally I was underwhelmed and unsatisfied with the ending. I say its a game that wants to be a movie because the story is great, the visuals are beautiful, but the actual gameplay part is just... alright i guess and the open world is pretty empty, pretty much just some randomly generated events that happen while you're riding your horse but after about 10 hours you'll probably have seen just about all of them.

If you like heavily cinematic, but surprisingly few cutscenes, games where you only actually play the game every so often for like 10 minutes at a time or you really want to immerse yourself in a piece of america's past you can just ignore my review you'll probably enjoy the game quite a bit. I do see why people enjoy the game its just not really for me

really only worth it if you have friends to play with, which you may or may not have after playing this with them
