Whole reviews could be written glazing nearly all of these 50 games for being unique and fun experiences. Beyond the specifics though, the joy for me was getting to have so many new games to explore for the first time. It’s like an advent calendar for retro games where every one you play next can be vastly different from the last but always meets the same standard of quality set by the rest. The fun of UFO 50 is discovery.

Fun and engaging gameplay loop. Simple but effective. Great to hop in and play a round or two while on a lunch break

Just a good ol' medieval time. Slicing up some dudes, stabbing some guys, you can even throw your sword sometimes. Great time

An unforgettable experience set to amazing music, beautiful art/environments, and excellent storytelling. OMORI is one for the books. If you're a fan of the Mother series and/or Undertale, you owe it to yourself to play this game.
