The best shooter on the market - Update after 150h

Delta Force is currently the best game in the shooter genre.

What’s great:
  • It’s free-to-play.

  • The season pass is absolutely affordable at just €8 (compared to the rip-off in COD).

  • It has outshined COD and Battlefield ever since the first play test last summer.

  • It offers Warfare mode (32 vs. 32), a PvE raid and an extraction mode similar to Tarkov.

  • The performance is fantastic (at least for me)! I can play at 2160p, 240Hz, and Ultra settings super smoothly and have never experienced connection issues.

  • The weapons sound and feel realistic and are simply fun to use. Overall, the gameplay is just crisp.

  • Bots have been removed from matches, but if you want to practice (e.g. flying helicopters), you can still play against bots.

  • The developers are cooking when it comes to the operator bundle soundtracks (check out Spotify).

  • There’s always something to do; there’s something for everyone (Warfare, Operations, Ranked, Badges, Events, etc.).

What’s not so great:
  • DF has to be careful not to become too "colorful" and unrealistic. The bundles in the shop are cool but shouldn’t get too crazy, colorful, anime-style, or anything like that (see COD).

  • The campaign, console release, and controller support have been postponed – but suddenly, there was no communication from the developers about it anymore.

  • The merit system (Ranked) needs to be reworked, at least in Warfare, because it’s currently unfair. If I join a running match where one side is already completely overwhelmed (so many players have already left the lobby), I either take a crushing defeat or leave as well – but then I get a hefty 30-point penalty. So I’m punished because others left the lobby. And I’m not talking about difficult matches, but about typical base rapes. So I won`t play Ranked...

  • Some players seem to have performance issues in the form of micro-stuttering...

COD is something no one wants to play anymore, and Battlefield 2025 first has to make up for its past "accidents." Delta Force has now stepped into the ring and scratches the itch that genre fans have had for a long time. The developers are on the right track and must continue listening to the community and being transparent.
