This feels like a good game, but I'm struggling to understand the design decision around skills being locked to specific zones. I understand that each zone comes with new skills. I think I just don't understand what this design *improves on*.

I'm also finding that I dislike the "room" style of map as it feels very restrictive, particularly with the brief load transition (though maybe that's just an EA solution). The game does like good for its artistic style though.

The game mechanically plays well.

As others have said, this game should be awesome. I can't wait to see it after another year. I immediately loved the "wake up and start molding your character" approach. Crafting, separate skill trees, whatever ... pick a direction and go.

However, I don't understand why people keep making these gi-freakin-gantic barren wastelands of maps though. Shrink it down and the experience would be far more engaging. I don't need 500 miles of trees and mushrooms. I don't want to use this weird overworld map travel minigame thing either.
