This game is an extraordinary immersive experience which did not come any closer to anything I have played before. There is no tutorial, no guiding of what buttons to use for attack, blocking, using things…you have got to figure it out on your own as you are thrown into the vicious lands where Senua decided to sail in her boat made of a tree trunk. You experience Senua’s psychosis as her inner voices constantly whisper in your ears (I highly recommend headphones for the best experience), you fall with her fails, you rage when she slains her demons, you suffer when she cannot beat her inner darkness, you rejoyce when she is at peace.

The closest atmospehere to Hellblade you can probably find in a movie called Valhalla Rising. However, Hellblade is enriched with the deep connection of the player to the main heroin and gradual understanding of herself.
