Daunting at first, HOI4 is one of the coolest grand strategy games I've seen and attempted to play. I love not only how in depth the national focus trees and research tables are, but the multiplayer ability, and the division organizer. I, as of now, absolutely suck and still have fun. Then, if vanilla gets boring enough for someone there are mods from balance tweaks to complete reworkings. I love the Old World Blues mod especially 'cause Fallout as well as the Kaiserreich mod. As you get better, it goes from a 5/10 to an easy 9/10.

Game is a great mil sim, or for some messing around, it is hard to find proper servers to play on, many groups are reclusive, and reluctant to accept new members. Play the campaign first to get used to some mechanics, then hop onto a KOTH server.
Also the Apex DLC is pretty much a must have, the rest aren't as necissary. don't let the tryhards keep you down its a bit of a learning curve.

This game is one of the best games I've played on steam and i highley reccomend it i enjoy the fact that is is seperate from the typical city builder and i hope they continue to update this game.
i do have a few reccomendations though i think you should have an easy normal and hard mode messing with how hungry people get disasters and dependability when i first played it was really hard to get started off i aloso hope there can be another power system where you can mine ore and burn it for power or something like that. maybe even a new planet these are just recommendations for the game but i think it would add alot more gameplay and dificulty those are my thoughts for the game but still i highley reccomend it
