Don't play with your friend if they are overleveled. If one person in a world is higher leveled, then that means higher leveled invaders can invade you too. It also just destroys the balance of the pve as well, since an overleveled friend can basically just babysit you for over half the game. Tell your friend to get on a lower level character instead of his high level character.
