Never played Dragon Quest, and I'm happy this was my first one. It took me around 96 hours to beat the boss, but most of that time was spent exploring, finishing side quests, and mashing the A button at the casino.

(I made a script later on to do this for me, and it took 12 hours to get a jackpot. I'm glad that wasn't me.)

You can probably beat the game faster, but I took my time to enjoy what the game had to offer.
