What I'd like:
The story expansion on the characters, espescially side characters like Jessie.
The battle system is highly addictive.

What I'd dislike:
It feels like the pacing of the story is a mess.
Some part of the game felt like the developer intentionally make it longer on unnecessary areas.

The game has a very good story and battle mechanics.
The soundtrack is also not that bad.

I've beaten the game around 150 hours, which is not due to the story content is long, its just more to slow pacing of the story and the cutscene. This is my only dislike about the game.
Other than that, the game is decent. I'd give it a 7 out of 10.

the way you were able to join game is astounding. This game is definitely the best when playing with a lot of people.

This game is extravagantly good. like too good.
But this might only be the case for me as I like challenges. By the time I write this review, I've finished the game on Spectacular difficulty. Took me around 27 hours. Love the story, the combat, and the side mission.
The side mission might need to be improved somehow, cause I don't feel the connection when I did the mission, where the character is just so plain and boring.
Now for the cons. I only have 1 really bad thing I have to say about this game. which is the controller. I noticed that my controller connection is like gone after a while playing this game. which is totally random.
Had to refer to forum on how to fix this. hope the developer fix it soon.

The game design is fresh and super hard. Not for typical gamers. You play, and you die. Keep holding on to those controller until you beat it. Some of you will be frustrated like I am, thinking that the game is difficult or thinking whether you really suck at fast paced muscle memory game. My advice is to be patient. The game is intended that way.

I'm really happy that the game is 3D, with 2D side scrolling which doesn't go too off from its original formula. Overall, don't buy this game if you are thinking that it would release your stress, cause it wont.

This is a game for people who like fantasy, like pure illusion story.
I've played the game from start to beating the game, thus I can say several things:

The story is probably 7 out of 10.
Gameplay is 8.
Graphic is 8.

The thing is that this game is highly addictive. The combat, forge and other stuff. You just cant put the controller down once you play it. However, this game is probably not for everyone. Pick this one up if only you like pure fantasy, even though the story doesn't make sense.

Look, I have no qualms regarding the soundtrack, combat system and graphic wise. It is totally top notch. What I'm dissapointed with is the game story and character background story. This is my no 1 complain. The motivation for the protagonist to build a country is laughable. After certain event, we jump right into trying to build a country. So yeah, this game is playable. but i don't think it would suit certain players who played the first game where the story was amazing.

Ok, the game is good. Freaking good. What the game is good at? Combo system. You see, the game focus on where you should continue smashing the enemy even when their health is out, so you could get a high combo. The game 2D movement is nice and smooth. Its like playing back to the old classic game where you enjoy smashing those controller button. The game has no tutorial, it focus on where you learn about the enemy, their habit, and how you counter them. A very nice game worth the price!

This game has a fantastic story driven by the prior two games as a foundation. What Falcom is trying to do here is create a world of game where every heroes is interconnected with every Trails game. Lets get straight to what this story do best.

i) A very good character building story. Not just the main one, but the side characters as well.
ii) Addictive combat system (if you know the trick)
iii) The soundtrack in this game is sensational. It wont get you bored.

The bad thing in this game is the story pace. Every scene in this game have a very slow time in telling what it tries to tell. I love cut scene, but this game cut scene is damn slow.

Overall, I totally recommend this game. For those who are first timers in Trails series, I suggest you buy the first game to start. The story is interconnected. Have fun!

As you all know, this game is a visual novel game. It focus more on stories rather gameplay mechanics. If you have played the previous 2 games, then you will be overly familiar with this one. Its all basically the same. Just minor improvement. That being said, I want those who are still deciding whether to buy this game know, they wont regret buying this game. The game focus on solving a murder at every chapter, where you are given clues throughout your investigation. This is not like any other detective game where you could not predict the killer. The clue is the key. That being said, I couldn't predict the killer. The story is just that good in making plot twist, where it surprises the gamers in a very good unexpected ways. If you feel bored after 5 minute playing the game, I urge you to finish at least one chapter, where I'm sure you will be thoroughly interested in finishing the game after the 1st chapter. This game deserve to be appreciated and rewarded for its good story telling and should be played by everyone who wanted those unexpected plot twist.
