I have played this game for quite some time now (since 2013 I think) and I believe it's high time to write a review.

This game, in my opinion, is good. Not great, not excellent, not bad, just good. I'll begin with the good: if you are in the least bit interested in wartime aviation, vehicular or naval combat, I'd certainly check this title out. It really is that simple; either you like it or you don't. More modern vehicles are being added on a somewhat regular basis, which creates a nice feeling of aspiration come the update. Updates also tend to fix some bugs and visual glitches, but not everything. Visually, the game has progressed a lot in my playtime, especially recently with the new engine update. It's nothing short of stunning at max settings. The game is also quite well optimised to run on old or low powered hardware on low settings, which is nice considering how clunky one might expect a game such as this to be (you could probably run it on a fridge if you so desired).

Now onto the bad. I won't dwell too much on this as other comments seem to detail this quite well. In all honesty, given the option I'd rate this title as mixed. This is due to the lacklustre response from Gaijin regarding many complaints of server issues, amongst other things. This by itself might be understandable if they weren't at the same time charging extortionate prices for their "custom bundles" or whatever they call them. Don't get me wrong, I know that a free game must make its profit from somewhere, but charging as much as one might pay for a full AAA title for a couple of only-slightly-better-but-enough-to-be-annoying vehicles that will ultimately be replaced come the next major update. The devs certainly know where their focus lies, and that is on making as much money as possible for providing the bare minimum in customer satisfaction.

All in all, if you're interested, dive right in, but beware.
