Darkstone is an RPG in the style of Diablo, but in really 3D. This is not the only difference, the second is that the player is in control of two characters. The other character is computer controlled and the player can switch between them at any time. Alternatively, you can play in co-op mode with a friend. Also, Darkstone has good music and sound, including some surprisingly high-quality voiceover work. It has a very good replayability too, because the quests, items and enemies are randomized. I have beaten it 10 years ago. Overall, a very good and entertaining game.

This game just had bad luck, because it was released around the same period when Half-Life and Unreal come out. I think that, for that reason alone, doesn't got the deserved attention and became easily forgotten. It's an hidden gem, though. I have beaten the game 15 years ago and liked it a lot. It has an interesting plot and very good gameplay.

Septerra Core plays very much like a console RPG, but it isn't an overt copy of them, and it has a few new ideas of its own. Fans of console RPGs will recognize the smooth gameplay and brilliant Final Fantasty-style graphics. It does not have the depth of character interation or development as something like Fallout or Baldur's Gate, but it is a fun ride, taking you into strange policies, and showing intriguing conspiracies and ambitions. I have beaten the game a long time ago and still remember it for it's excellent gameplay.
Overall, in my opinion this game scores 9/10.

Probably you have heard of Monkey Island before. Definitively, if you are a point'n'click adventure game aficionado, you know what that means: hours and hours of fun. This is the third instalment in the series, released by LucasArts, so it's guaranteed that you will have here a fantastic puzzle-solving adventure game to play. The game features cartoon-style SVGA graphics and (for the first time in the series) voice-overs for all the conversations. But wait, there is more, this game come up with the two previous titles included. Yes, indeed. The Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge are in the package, too.
Well, let's assume Guybrush Threepwood role and attempt to be a pirate!
In my opinion, this game scores 10/10.

This is a fantastic point'n'click adventure game, best described as a psychological thriller. You play an amnesiac car crash victim who wakes up in an insane asylum. Escaping from the building begins your Dantean descent into the underworld of your mind.
Puzzles are mostly inventory-related, with a few machine and lever puzzles. There are also a few action sequences, but even when the player dies, the game can be continued without any penalty. Talking to various NPCs will teach the player about their bizarre surroundings. The plot unfolds as Max's memories are gradually restored and the player finds out more about his past and the nature of the research he was dedicating his life to.
Great graphics, great controls, great story. You will not forget this game, for sure. I know i don't. I had beaten it a few years ago.

I have beaten this game a few years ago, so a bit of nostalgia applies here. This is a first person adventure game in the style of Myst and other similar games that come out back in the day. The game has a somewhat obtuse story and the puzzles seems to have no logic at times, but overall the animations and the music are very good and the characters are funny. Not so much for the gameplay.

Postal is best defined as a three-quarter view isometric shooter. It's a very violent game where you have to shoot demons, monsters, bad guys or terrorists with an arsenal of different weapons. To progress you must kill a percentage of them per level.
The graphic interface are somewhat ugly but the gameplay is good.
I beat this game several years ago, steam didn't even exist back then.

This is the first ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Fallout game, developed as a sequel to the 1988's Wasteland.
Fallout is a role-playing game that uses an original character development system called S.P.E.C.I.A.L., an acronym formed from the first letters of the game's basic character attributes: Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility and Luck. In addition to having these attributes, the protagonist can also learn and improve skills, as well as acquire traits and perks. These improve as the character levels up. By developing and customizing attributes, skills, traits and perks, the player is granted a considerable freedom in shaping the protagonist in his combat-related and social behavior.
The game has an open world which can be freely explored from the onset. Only a few quests are required to complete in order to advance the main plot; a vast amount of side quests is available. Thanks to the game's emphasis on social interaction, many problems can be solved in a non-violent way. In fact, it's possible to complete the game without engaging in any battles at all, running away from enemy encounters and concluding the final confrontation in a relatively peaceful fashion. Conversely, the player can opt for a destructive path, killing everyone in sight. A Karma system is used to track the player's moral decisions during the game.
Combat is turn-based. Characters may join the protagonist, traveling together and participating in combat as a party. Though the player may assign general commands to the companions, their actions are controlled by the AI, and they cannot be customized.
Overall, a fantastic game with a great story to unfold. In my opinion, it scores 9/10.

Stonekeep is a dungeon crawl through a castle cursed by a dark god.
It has some interesting and amusing characters: The drunken orc on the first level, Wahooka The Great, the Ettin, Khul-Kuum and the various gods that you have to rescue. Combat is quite simple, as is the interface generally. There are some puzzles to solve, too.
The story is fun, and it develops much more fully as you progress into the game. Music ans sound effects are good, too.
However, there is scarce variety on the backup scenarios, since you are in a dungeon all the time, which turns the game monotonous after some time playing it.
I beat this game some years ago and recommend it.
Gravis Ultrasound is the most recommendable option to go for music. General MIDI is the second best. There are videos on youtube which explain how to configure DOSBox to use them.
In my opinion, this game scores 7/10.

Megarace is an average racing game, from 1994. It seems there are no physics modeling in the game at all. Each car handles and moves pretty much equally. However, the tracks are very good, with twists, bends, loops, huge drops and tunnels. Additionally, various FMV sequences are present and the soundtrack is good, somewhat enhancing the experience.
Overall, i think this game deserves 6/10.
