Overall: Something to check out for ARPG fans. If it's on 80% sale it's worth it, there's lots to explore and some interesting character development choices and mechanics. There's a slightly interesting story line (if a bit drawn out) and an end-game loop with room to perfect your nuild. With a GREAT deal of balancing and a bit of polishing it honestly could be on par with PoE, but I don't have my hopes up

Pros:
- Some nice music
- There is a story line
- Voice acting exists
- Some depth in skill tree planning and potential to balance defence and offence (potential meaning it currently is not that great)
- Boss mechanics themselves are excellent and positioning has meaning, the telegraphs and red circles could maybe be toned down or replaced with more immersive / lore friendly graphics
- Most hitboxes are pretty flush and projectiles are generally slow enough that you can have fun dodging and positioning yourself rather than being off-screened by super fast projectiles (looking at you PoE)
- Nice biome graphics and monster variety
- Damage type variety and corresponding ailments is interesting
- Some loot filter options built in to the game
- A nice push to balance your use of Rage and Willpower
- Has pets (that auto loot gold only)
- Cosmetic customisation is nice, choosing your own colours and style makes a world of difference (I would rather a different system other than randomly dropped dyes though)
- Skill tree spins

Cons
- A LOT of bugs, many game breaking. I was trying a summon / toxic build that went from 57 average damage to over 2 billion average damage when I picked up some green orbs as per the on Skill Tree mechanic. Other things like Wings of Ishimir being used twice every time I use it push you away from using these mechanics. Finishing the campaign to be greeted with a grey screen that i had to force-skip sums it up.
- Some little things like there's a mod called +/-x% Transfer Time SPEED for your willpower/rage. This is the opposite of what it says, it seems to modify the time taken itself rather than the speed. There are other things like this which make it confusing or at best vague for the player.
- Damage% increases from seemingly different sources might be additive? I would think skill points in the skill itself would be multiplicative but the skill tab damage value would indicate it's additive with such things as a single point on the skill tree. Would love that clear when i am first playing through.
- Online disconnects way too frequently, once or twice is understandable but for me it was every few hours, and you lose progress. I was on the last level of a depths and it DC'd me, map gone, progress lost, feels bad. Just play Offline.
- Unfortunately unless you're post-campaign pushing well above your level, the damage output you can achieve means you can phase every boss before you even see most of the mechanics; this ties in to the desperate need for balancing the game. I should not be able to just pick up every rogue (health/es) base, chuck all points in to Toughness (%health/es increase) and still breeze through on damage.
- The first time I got stuck in progressing the game was the first Lieutenant in act 4 where (i'm guessing this because i could not find info on the names of Boss modifiers) it was completely immune to the damage type i speced in to. I had to change skill damage types and respec some nodes on my skill tree mid fight to deal damage. This just takes away fun if i can't prepare before i'm running around in circles trying to work out what the hell is happening. Very poor.
- A lot of the voice acting is just cringe. Don't know how else to put it, just doesn't land.
- The ease of access to change up your build means if I drop a unique that triples my damage it just feels stupid not to use it. Using it means i cant commit to the character i was building, and not using makes me feel like i'm missing out. Lose-lose.
- Modifiers on items really do not even matter until you're in post-campaign, base type is enough to breeze through the campaign
- Item drops do not change name/colour despite changing their tier. For example a glove with 4 health/es looks the same as a glove with 150 health/es
- Replayability (which is crucial in these kinds of games) needs some tweaking, I don't want to see popups or walk around needlessly again and again. Maybe add the option to skip the intro prologue before you actually start your character
- Body Cosmetic Character customisation is too shallow (body types, hair styles, etc)
- Too much Jank. Some animations are great, many are janky and clunky to use. Melee in general is a pain, cyclone being the exception because you are moving all the time. I hate having to pick skills based on how little jank there is.
- Animations are pain, the backswing on many buff skills and some movement skills is just stupid long. To the point where they are unsuable for me, having to use 2 or more every 10 seconds for some builds just grinds away my enjoyment
- Apocalyptic form is... Useless? It might look cool but it is a massive dps loss and just using it for invulnerability is a huge cop out in gameplay. Needs to be reworked or deleted.

It's nice

Good

- Lots of mechanics to engage with
- Crafting is easy to understand and convenient to get your character what they need
- Aesthetic is immersive
- Music is immersive
- has a dummy target for testing

Bad

- Progression is probably a bit too fast, you really can't delay making a loot filter lest you be bombarded with text on the screen.
- Animations could be smoother
- No hideout system like PoE, so returning to the same island of rock gets a bit lonely
- Crafting, while easy, is like most GAMBA games where they refuse to give you the numbers behind their gamba machines which is just an affront to your time management efforts
- The in game glossary exists but it is almost so basic that I have to google answers anyway
- dummy target doesn't have a total damage taken nor dps meter

5/10 Excellent music and art style

Mechanics of the game leave A LOT to be desired, many things aren't intuitive and the AI suffers a great deal, which makes things frustrating, which is the opposite of what the music and flow of the game is supposed to be about
