Hi my name is Rimuru Tempest, I'm not a bad slime *slurp*. I am the leader of the Jura-Tempest Federation and the founder of Tempest. My sworn friend is Veldora Tempest the storm dragon and my BFF is demon lord Milim. I was reincarnated as a slime and made many friends along the way from Hobgoblins, Kijins, Dwarfs, Lizardmen, Orcs and much more!

Before I reincarnated as a slime I was Satoru Mikami who lived in Japan and I was the average 37 year old man working contracting jobs. I was with my friend who was showing off his girlfriend 'AGH I was never in a relationship' when suddenly a man with a knife came running at my friend. I heroically pushed my friend out of the way but as a result I was stabbed. As I was slowly dying I could hear a voice but I couldn't tell what it was but I told my friend to throw my computer into the bathtube filled with water. Eventually after feeling the effects from a slow bleeding death I found myself in a weird place.

I couldn't see and I had trouble feeling my body but after trying to move around a little I had concluded my jiggly form was in fact a slime. I slowly but surely started to move around and I came to realize I was in a cave but something weird happened. I absorbed some kind of plant into my body and eventually some special rocks because a voice in my head told me it was useful. After traveling the cave for some time I fell into a lake and I was sure I would drown to death but some quick thinking I figured out how to absorb water and propel me out. I came out of the water so fast I bumped into something really hard and caused damage to me but didn't seem to cause any pain but I might have bumped into a bigger problem.

"can you hear me small one?" was a voice that echoed loudly scaring me. It tried to talk to me again but I didn't have a mouth so I couldn't talk back and it frustrated so much I called it baldy. Somehow it heard my thoughts and knew I called it baldy but I quickly explained the situation and we had a mutual understanding. It taught me the skill "magic sense" to see the world under the condition I would visit and not to be afraid of him once I see him to which I agreed. After finally being able to see my surroundings and gazing upon the one who helped I was instantly terrified to see a giant dragon.

The dragon's name was Veldora the storm dragon, one of the few true dragons, it told me its story how it went on a rampage and how a hero came to stop him. A beautiful masked hero who used the skill "Unlimited Imprisonment" sealing Veldora and part of his abilities and has been alone for hundreds of years slowly dying by leaking magicules. I offered to help him by swallowing him up where we can analyze the skill from both the inside and outside to which he was delighted and offered a name exchange. He gave me the name Rimuru where I felt a surge within me as if the name etched within my soul and I gave us the family name Tempest to signal that we are equals. He allowed me to swallow him up but it would take a long time until we analyzed the skill so I ventured to find the exit of the cave.
