Hey there. Are you playing Kiwami 2 at a high framerate (e.g. above 60 fps) ? Then try capping it - to 60 at first.

Sadly to say, the game's physics are tied to framerate. The higher you go, the worse some bugs occur. The game was made to run properly at 30 fps (for the PS4).

IIRC the heat action prompt is also affected by this. It's being displayed for half of the normal length - thus making it more difficult to trigger it.
