A timeless classic. The thinking man's souls game.

This game has so much charm and humor...yet terrified me and literally sent chills down my spine at times. The gameplay was very enjoyable mainly focusing on exploration, puzzles, and collecting/examining items and figuring out what to do with them. Action was definitely present but you'll usually be figuring out how to use your environment or items in inventory to deal with enemies. As simplistic as its graphics are it was pretty immersive. The sounds, music and ambience are what made it most memorable. Although the visuals are still pretty horrifying and awesome though. (Has anime-style cutscenes and even VHS tapes you can watch of super short horror films). The character's dialogue and the plot are absolutely excellent and very consistent. Non-linear gameplay allows you to make different choices, explore new areas and go through alternate endings. I can't really say anything I don't like about this game, it's a really wonderful game that doesn't try to do much or fall short to me.
