I originally got this game because it seemed like an interesting Zelda-like game, and I wanted to play it as a Zelda fan, but I ended up with so much more. The entire game was amazing and wonderful in all sorts of ways, and this is a game for which I wish I could have the magic of going in blind again.

I can't go too in depth without revealing things, but in short this game is amazing in terms of puzzles, adventure, combat, and also atmosphere too.

Quality RPG, went in just expecting a game that might fill that Paper Mario shaped void, but the game was much more than that, being very interesting and charming in its own right. The combat system adds new mechanics which make battles more interesting and engaging, but don't overcomplicate fights either, yet also they bring back the type of level up and badge systems from the classic Paper Mario style which are simple, but fun and interesting.
Plus, you can play the game on hard or normal difficulty, and the hard difficulty doesn't just make the game arbitrarily harder, it gives you more exp but makes the enemies tougher and gives them new attacks, too. Plus, you can toggle difficulty at any point, if you want to see if hard mode is for you or not.
Overall, a really enjoyable and well made game from start to finish, would recommend whether you liked the old Paper Mario games or not.

God I loved one of the worms games when I was young, so I wanted to get back into the series... god, this game feels awful to control and play, I can't even manage to play this

This game makes me sad because the movement feels great and it has so much potential, but then the actual content of the game is repetitive overworld things for like 50 hours or bad challenge modes which feel like they weren't even playtested.

Arctic cruise is alright, yet also kind of the worst of all the main areas in that regard. Only adds 3 new levels and 2 new time rifts.

Death wishes are all just remixes of existing content to be more difficult. Ranges from very slightly more difficult to genuinely just unfair, mundane, or arbitrary chores.

Coming back with 3/4 (25) of the death wishes completed, I could probably count the actually balanced death wishes with two hands, and the actually enjoyable or fun death wishes with one.

Overall: if you're looking to just play an alright sonic game, go for it. If you want to 100% complete or achievement hunt? You're not going to have fun, you're not gonna feel accomplished at the end, and you're gonna regret having tried, mainly because some achievements are locked behind either stupid luck b.s. or behind a mode that's so glitched that it'll crash the entire game like 30 times in the process of you trying to get it.

TL;DR: good for playing through the main content casually, not fun or rewarding for completing

I was skeptical about buying and playing this. Indie Smash Bros., but on a keyboard? Nah. But then my friend sent me a copy, and oh I was so wrong. While the tutorials feel a bit unpolished and the game basically expects you to own a controller, the characters are all unique and play smoothly, the maps aren't stupidly gimmicky, and everything looks nice. But they REALLY need to fix the sucky tutorials, they barely helped, and only really in learning Melee mechanics, like dash dancing and wave dashing.
Update: Now, they added Story mode, which was alright, and Abyss mode, which is endless waves of challenges-- and by challenges, it means spamming you to death with 3v1s, projectile spamming, ETC. Buy for the multiplayer, not the garbage Abyss mode.

Do not buy this game. All the normal story levels in normal difficulty aren't even challenges in any way, but all the special levels you need to do to get items to upgrade your gear and get extra abilities are hard as nails to literally impossible. The Repeater level is literally impossible to beat when you unlock it and have the best upgrades for the repeater you can get. Don't buy this game if you want to play a "fun" game.

If I had to rate it from 1 to 100, it would get a 99/100. The only lacking area for me is the walking speed, because I get REALLY impatient when I have to walk across an entire area with no faster options. There is minimal backtracking though, so it doesn't really matter.
