Team Fortress 2 has hours to days to even (possibly) years of high ammounts of content to enjoy. It has 9 classes to suit a player's favorite plan of attack, defence, and support. Weapons can be unlocked and bought to increase the range of strategy and hats to individualize one's charactor. Currently there are 7 normal game-modes, 4 or 5 halloween events, special christmas features, many promotional items from popular and new games, and a robot-fighting co-op mode. The community also has an input as there is plenty of player-made content, such as Workshop Items and Vs. Saxton Hale Mode. All in all, a game with a lot of variety, gameplay, and community support.

Addendum:
Today is June 6th, 2024: exactly 10 years after my initial positive review (at age 13). For the past 5 years, aimbots have been overrunning the official servers, rendering the game almost completely unplayable. Two years ago, in response to the SaveTF2 campaign, Valve tweeted that they were working on the bot problem. Nothing of substance has happened since, so that was a lie.
It saddens me to no end that this game, an icon of internet and video game culture and a huge part of my life from middle school through to the modern day, is in the sorry state it is in now. Team Fortress 2 was once a shining beacon of high-octane free-to-play FPS gameplay and "the most fun you can have online." I grew up with TF2 youtube videos, and TF2 got me into PC gaming in earnest. This game shaped my sense of humor and fashion, and was a major bonding experience with my closest friend. It is with a heavy heart that I find I must change my positive review to a negative one... the state which Team Fortress 2 is in, is just not fun anymore...
Valve has been neglecting this timeless gem of a game, which has been a huge part of my life and the cultural conscience of people my age... all because they're lazy. They have the resources and the capital, they can hire third-party devs to work on an anti-cheat, and there are even dozens of computer-savant TF2 fans (like Mastercoms and Megascatterbomb) who are able and willing to fix the game and fight the bot problem.
The bot problem, Valve's scummy decision to mute all free-to-play accounts (which the bots bypass, leaving only legit newbs affected), and Valve's abysmal treatment of this beloved work of art are too much to ignore anymore.
Maybe with enough fan pressure, Valve will finally do their *literal, actual job* and fix the game. You can help! Do your part.; leave a negative review, make social media posts highlighting the bot problem and Valve's neglect, boycott TF2's in-game store as well as the Community Market, and do NOT let up until we get some real, substantial change. This doesn't end with a hollow "we hear you" like two years ago. We want our game back, and we mean it this time! #FixTF2

Update #2:
It is August 10, 2024, it's been over a month since Valve did something (God knows what, and hopefully that info stays between Valve and Lord GabeN), and I have not seen a single bot since. I've seen a few human cheaters, but those are usually pretty easy to vote-kick. For the time being, I am overjoyed to say I can once again comfortably recommend Team Fortress 2 as a solid gaming experience! At least for the time being, TF2 is possibly completely bot-free, and just about perfectly enjoyable again! I highly recommend playing the game, right now.
