This is really the grandaddy of modern twin stick roguelites and is PUNISHINGLY difficult but in a good way. You will die often and be chomping at the bit to jump back in and try again. Pixel art is comfy too, the mutation system is perfect, just wish there were more weapon choices. If you haven't tried anything in this genre before, this is the perfect place to jump in and GIT GUD.

Despite having "metal gear" in the name, I feel like this is a vastly underappreciated hidden gem of a game. It holds up remarkably well by today's standards. Even if you haven't played any other Metal Gear games but have enjoyed Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, etc you will like this one I predict.

I wouldn't really call this a roguelite because it doesn't offer those hard CHOICES, that allow you to craft a vastly unique and different character build in each run. What keeps the game feeling fresh is the different character choices you make at the starting screen. Same choices at the starting screen, SAME RUN for the most part. That said, it is a fun game and finding rare items to make your character OP is a blast. Co-op mode is also fun when it works properly, which is about 50% of the time. My tip to become OP 80% of the time is to complete ignore the difficulty timer in the corner of the screen and do a full clear of each biome.

Still a couple bugs here and there to be worked out and the game still has that overall "Early Access" kinda feel to it, but support was very response to my bug reports and I managed to finish it. Had fun, but I feel a roguelite should take 30 hrs MINIMUM to finish.

This game is pure comfy kino. It's really a must play for any MGS fan and I'm surprised Kojima hasn't acknowledged it yet.

Awesome aesthetic, decent combat, story is a little lame/weird but overall a fun game. As a fan of the OG star wars movies who has moved away from the newer entries, I felt like this game was for me and got me interested in star wars again to an extent.

This game is a snoozefest, plus I bought the DLC costumes and can't even get them to work. SKIP IT!

My current favorite soulslike metroidvania. A MUST PLAY for any fan of Hollow Knight, in fact I liked it even better.

If you liked Persona 5 Strikers, you'll like this game. Cyber anime aesthetic is neat too, but the reused levels and bosses can get a little tiresome.

6 hrs to beat the game on normal mode is a little too easy IMO, hard should be the default difficulty as the meta progression kicks in making it vastly easier to get high tier cards. Otherwise it is a fun game
