Ignore playtime, played on Itch when it came out.

I have never been more glad to have a game punch me in the stomach this hard. This game is fantastic. It is chaotic and unsettling in a way that puts you in touch with the main character. The unhinged OST really adds to this feeling and there are so many bangers. As always, love Nadia's art but the aesthetic really brings it together. Love to see that soggy puppygirl melting.

I loved reading all of Liliana's interiority as a character. I'm a broken freak so I found her relatable and sympathetic, but it's written in such a way that it probably works if you think everything she's doing is horrifying (correct assessment, even if mommy is more important than having any shred of individuality).

Also need Millarca's teeth in my neck. Play this immediately.

I'm not American but I'm led to believe this is just what living in the American Midwest is like.

In all seriousness this game is probably one I'll remember for a while emotionally. The depiction of traumatised people both being able to comfort and hurt each other a great deal is one that I think is done really well here.

Extremely fun and unique isometric arena battler that styles itself as a fighting game and honestly that's basically correct.

A lot of people are complaining about the inability to get games which is kind of true but also I think a little unfair to leave a negative review for that reason so far after release. Just keep in mind if you want to play with people you might have to rope in a friend or dig around online for someone to play with. Other than that, stellar.

This game is absurdly lavish, Peppino is a force of destruction and a delight to play as. Every inch of this game has so much love poured into it. Best 2D platformer I've played hands down. Wario is smiling from beyond the grave (they killed him).

Incredible game, there's nothing else quite like it.

Easily one of the best survival horror games I've played, It's very clear the dev recognises how well a turn based JRPG compliments horror and I wish this is something that more devs picked up on.

I love the art direction. I love the art direction so much. I want to drink this art. I need more RPGs set in the 20th or 21st century where you're not playing as kids and going to school. This definitely serves that need.

Everywhere you look in this is a new, strange game mechanic that can even differ based on the characters you pick. You start a run, die, try again, piece together how a part of the game works. Probably die again. Keep going and the game unfolds. It's not a roguelike, but it definitely scratches that itch.

It does have some game design quirks. Saving is extremely limited and requires either passing precious in game time, or finding a rare one time use save item. Or utilising a hidden secret save mechanic through ritual circles. Bearing in mind this is a game where you might lose a couple hours progress to a random instant kill, literal pitfall trap, you might find that to be a little grating, even if you can appreciate some wild game design. If you're like me you'll be a coward and install the mod that lets you save infinitely. Just throwing that out there!

With that out of the way, if you want a well thought out survival horror JRPG with the most beautiful, horrific sprites you've ever seen, and you have a strong stomach and aren't put off by game design that kicks you in the shins constantly, definitely buy this game.

This is a game with some strong writing and fun characters that has a little more focus on being a visual novel with exploration elements than it does being a mystery game, which personally I don't mind.

Vibes and art direction in general are immaculate. Not many games nail the vaporwave aesthetic as good as this.

Its ending left me a little wanting, but I can forgive it somewhat since it's probably pretty hard to write a compelling final case in a game where you can do it at any point (and be wrong).

I encountered at least five characters who wanted to ♥♥♥♥ me. Pretty good. If they release an update that lets you ♥♥♥♥ Shinji I'll buy another copy.

Katamari but you're a hole and not a ball. And also there are cool animal people. And the music absolutely slaps.

Not very long, about 3-4 hours, but it's pleasant the whole way through and I honestly I wish there were more short, enjoyable games like this one.
