Embarrassingly lackluster game given the 10+ years they've had to make it. Ripped every major gameplay change from Humankind but didn't even bother to put any effort into implementing them well. Somehow managed to take out every customization option and quality of life option that has existed in the series for the last 20 years. This game is such a great representation of Take Two Interactive as a company it's absurd. I've been robbed of $100.

Can't speak for other people's experience, but my game runs fine at 1440p high settings on a 3060ti. Fun game.

I cannot in good conscious recommend that anyone pay $70 for this game in its current state. As I sit down to write this review, I realize that I truly have never felt this way about a PC game. For reference, I have an i7 11700F, RTX 3060TI, 32 GB DDR4 RAM. Until I bought this game I had never had a problem running any game at 1440p High settings at at least 60 FPS. I am completely dumbfounded that the developer and publisher sat down and came to the conclusion that it was acceptable to release this game in its current state. From what I can tell, the patch today improved performance somewhat, but it's just not good enough. From what I can tell at least, changing any of the settings from Epic to Low has literally 0 impact on performance. I really do not think I've ever seen that before. On top of that, the developers force you to use FSR, which makes the game look terribly blurry if there is any motion whatsoever onscreen, because when I try to disable it, the game refuses to run at my monitor's native resolution. It says that it is, but it is not. It looks like a blurry mess. Not only does the game look terrible, but it stutters constantly and runs at around 30-45 FPS regardless of the settings I use. So now I find myself in a really unfortunate position. I've spent all 2 hours of my refund period trying to get the game to work properly, and I have to decide whether or not to stick it out. Please do not waste your money on this game until they fix it and put it on heavy sale.

If you're a Harry Potter fan this game is a must have. This is genuinely the most fun I've had in a video game ever.
