I tried to give this game a chance, but it’s just not fun. The overall concept is really cool, but basically everything about the execution is wrong.

It’s so easy to win every run, because you just pick a basic tower/damage type and spam upgrades, which would be okay, if this was a "turn brain off and watch tiny guys dissappear under big damage numbers" kinda game, but the game fails even at that, because 99% of the time, you kill all the enemies off screen and you’re just watching stuff spin or your guys running around - it’s literally equivalent to a live aquarium wallpaper, only with less variety.

There’s no point in having a speed option, if there’s literally NO DOWNSIDE to playing on higher speeds, because the game pauses with every draw from your deck, so there’s not even that BTD6 part of "if I play on double speed, I probably won’t be able to react to a large group of enemies unexpectedly getting through my defences and leak" - there’s literally no reason for playing on normal speed, so why have it in the first place? And I really hope that the timer doesn’t reflect real time on normal speed, because having to sit through 50 minutes of this must be some kind of a twisted meta joke about literally working in hell.

Furthermore on the subject of speed, the game gets really sluggish basically right away, so at the later stages you don’t even want to engage with the MAIN MECHANIC of combining cards, because it’s so annoyingly slow. And somewhere in the development process, somebody said "let’s make the player wait about 3 seconds after selecting a card to add to the deck for no reason" and everybody was just fine with that? Really?

This game had so much potential, cool artstyle and a "kinda new" fresh approach to the tower defense genre, but it literally got everything about the gameplay wrong. I’m just so disappointed. Hadn’t I got this game "for free" from Humble Bundle, I would have refunded it.

Even if I get some slack for it, I would call Autonauts a „simpler Factorio“, which doesn’t in the slightest mean that it’s a bad game. Otherwise! A simple relaxing game which overwhelms you few hours in when you actually have to start planning what you will automate next and not just do the „only unlocked thing“. Bots get progressively more complicated, your colony gets progressively bigger and when you look at the clock and realize that 3 hours went by, you tell yourself „I’ll just do this last thing“ and you go to bed at 3 o’clock and savour your remaining 4 hours of sleep, just to do it again.
A great introduction to programming for someone with no experience in the field and a great relaxing tool for someone who knows a bit and just wants to optimize everything. Instead of giving a bot a new tool everytime his breaks, just build a bot to give it to him! And even better, build a bot to make tools and let the bot take it himself with a simple "if" statement!
When the game came out, I quickly grew bored of it simply because of lack of QOL features. Your bots used to get tired and you had to go (or build a dedicated bot) to rewind them. This is now gone! As some features departed, more came in - like the option to save bots programming and with two clicks set another bot to do the same task without having to program him again, saving you a lot of tedious grind in the process.
I believe the game is now in a great state and even with only 11 hours played when writing this review, I am sure I’ll put a lot more into it. Seeing all the QOL just made me so happy.
Just name ur bot "I MADE A MISTAKE AND NOW I HAVE TO BUILD THIS TO FIX ITTTT" and forget what he does. I’m sure it won’t come back to bite you in the ass...

Borderlands 2 is maybe the funniest, silliest and strangest shooter on Steam. Mixing RPG and FPS elements with great characters, amazing soundtrack and even better re-playability makes it - at least for me - one of the best games ever made. No matter what happens, Borderlands will always have an honorable place in my heart. And if you’ve got a friend, grab him and hop on your Meat bicycle together!

This is first person parcour game. It has really smooth parcour moves and you can use almost everything to climb, or jump on. It includes fast paced combat and really nice parts, when you run for your live with a hundreads of policemen shooting your back.
It is not really expensive and its often on sale so there is no reason for you, not to buy it :3
