I got this game during the summer sale because I don't think any game is worth 60+ dollars. But Witcher has proved me wrong. This game is astounding and I paid 29.99 (CAD) for it which is much less then I would be willing to spend for this game.

Pros of this game are: The immersive open world, the beautful land scapes through the world, the encounters and how realistic they feel, the sex, the dialogue, AND FFS the EVERYTHING! The combat is great (better with a controller then with a mouse/keyboard) the spells are great to. The character development through the skill tree is great as well. It allows you to choose what kind of witcher/warrior you wanna be and what combat/interactions you wanna experience. The difficulty range is good as well, the small concise descriptions of them are just as they are represented. The best aspect of the game is the little intricacies in the dialogue, the many different options of speech that you can choose from makes interactions with NPC's feel much more realistic. Overall the game is a solid buy.

Cons of this game are: The beginning of the game is slow and the combat is very boring for the first 1-2 hours of gameplay. It's just jumping around and dodging blows and sneaking in an attack whenever you can. Another thing is the sudden groups of enemy mobs, at one point you'll be running through a small field on a farm with farmers tending to it then at the end of the field there are 7 drowners that aggro you and the shift the mood in an undesirable way. But that's all there is really.

In conclusion, Witcher 3 is a very good buy that competes with the open world feel and interactions with characters in Skyrim. If you were a fan of Skyrim (which I mean who wasn't?) then you will definitely be a fan of Witcher 3. It is a game of true open world that exceeds the standards of many RPG gamers.
