Great combat with awesome animations
Graphics look great for screenshots, but it's hard to see during gameplay. As in, your screen gets filled with effects.
Horrendous monetization. Worst I've ever seen. Even if you try to ignore it, there are so many things that are designed to make your experience worse, which you can make go away by paying. Anytime I play I feel like the game hates me. You also can't decide to just pay and not be bothered by the game anymore. There are so many of these mechanics that you'll always notice that the "game" part exists purely as decoration. The core function is sucking as much money from you as possible while employing all the dirty tricks in the book.
Also, for those who don't know, the reason that so many people have so many hours in this game is because there is a ton of ways of making AFK "progress". However, this only happens if you have the game running. This is done for two reasons: 1. By forcing you to keep the game running, you're more likely to keep playing. You think "well I'm not using my PC right now, might as well AFK in BDO", and then later when you want to play something "well BDO is already running, so I might as well play that"
2. AFK but running clients count towards concurrent player count, inflating the numbers.

A ton of fun. This is pretty much the perfect game for "fast stealth". Traversal feels great.
Best played in shorter sessions, as it can get a bit repetitive.

Yes, it's buggy.
Yes, it's awesome.

Get the double jump as soon as possible.
If you're doing stealth, get the upgrade that slows time when you're about to get spotted as soon as possible.
