I just realized I had never reviewed this game, which is a crime I had not done so until now because this really is an amazing game- so much so that it is the only game I ever 100%'d, and I did so twice (well, in vanilla. The DLC actually is rather challenging to do). The community also has countless modded levels, so you never really will run out of things to do, either.

Why tf isn't this just in the game? Why isn't it made more clear this has to be downloaded?
Update now that I've played through: Great for Karin mains. If you aren't, learn her.

I didn't think I'd enjoy the story of a Souls-style game. I did.

The lack of recommendation isn't so much for quality of the game, but rather space: I've played some active VR games before, but benefit from slow motion (Boneworks) or simply intended to be played while standing in one spot (beat saber). If you don't have a big room, you'll end up destroying your stuff and your fingers, like I did. So consider the size of your space before you play please!

even if you don't normally play fighting games, please give this game a shot! The tutorial is excellently designed not just to tell you "button does action" but also to give you genuinely good advice and practices to use in real matches and training, plus the tutorials are tailored to each and every character!
The community is also very friendly and welcoming, one particular group- Fighting Fœnatics, even holds occassional live streams, "young lions" events, purely to teach new players! So please, don't let doubt in your ability to play keep you from getting this game!... But do go online or play arcade before the story mode. Bosses are a bit overtuned atm.

One last note- If you're totally new, while Oleander is labelled "medium" difficulty on the official site, she has rather simple inputs and big attacks that are easy to aim, plus can do a bit of most play-styles. So while Arizona or Tianhuo may feel be easier to play effectively, Ollie is better just for getting a grip of the game in general.

This game is still amazing, but, if you're picking it up, decide to give matchmaking a try... You're very likely getting a lobby full of bots that instantly snipe then kick you. You'll even see them flood your matches in real time, and the handful of community servers while functional can't contain all the players, we need a better anti-cheat!

Lightsabers feel like lightsabers?
Yes. It is fun to hit things with instant kill lightsticks. Unless it is another person with a lightstick, then you just hit the lightstick most the time unless they also swing theirs.
Acrobatics?
Yes. And damn good.
Force abilities?
Along side light and dark. Note- Doesn't effect wheather you can be light or dark in the story line. You could use all the light side of the force, and still end up on the dark side and vice-versa.
Blasters because ♥♥♥♥ the lightstick?
Yes, and there are even situations where you might find a blaster more viable than your lightsaber. But never against a guy with a light stick. Minus explosives for the weaker ones.
Character customization?
Eh, you're the same guy either way, and the options are somewhat limited.
Storyline?
Pretty solid, though it is amazing in some of the missions.
Overall/Tl;Dr you lazy ass-
Buy it. Do it. Do it now..,.. JUST DO IT!

No one has Prestige but me. King only has one health and it is day after my turn.
Attacks king anyway, dies in a draw.
Wins anyway by being such a good friend to the king.

Don't let this review discourage you, however: There is no way to reset character nor repeat the tutorial, if you are a returning player and you don't remember how to play, NOT VERY FUN. AT ALL. I do NOT want to run in circles like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ because I haven't played in forever and there is NO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ OPTION to REPEAT the TUTORIAL unless a new update JUST CAME OUT. This game is brilliant, but is not friendly to returning players. It doesn't take much of anything to make a repeatable tutorial, you even had it before, why not NOW?

Free and awesome... But community is virtually non-existent, and as a result I can not find an online game. Please do revive this thing.
