Fantastic. Vibes are out of this world. Soundtrack and aesthetic like a mix of minecraft and risk of rain. Huge recommend

If you're like me this game scratches a lot of itches other dev tycoon games just don't quite get. There are so many little things that add up to it being so engrossing; being able to enter exclusivity deal, building your offices, having multiple studios, competitor studios, etc... that really make me love it. It's kinda everything Game Dev Tycoon is and then some. Which is to say it's derivative, and simple, but not without adding some really nice features to build upon the games before it. In terms of depth I'd say it's a little more complex then Game Dev Tycoon but not as complex as Software Inc. which perfectly appeals to me as someone who wants to have a good time pretending they're a successful game dev. If you can get past the rough UI and art style I highly recommend this one.

Really neat ideas on display here and that's probably the biggest positive I can give it. That's not to say that it's bad, however; I actually do enjoy the game as it is but I think those ideas need to be developed more.

Gameplay: as it stands, a little simplistic but engaging. Another review compared it's gameplay to Plague inc. I would go a step further and say it has elements of Reigns in there too. A bunch of meters you adjust with relatively simple choices, you don't balance them per se but there are elements of trying to keep resources, population, and morality in check. This simplistic gameplay isn't bad but I want to feel connected to the decisions I make and feel like they matter. There are currently elements of this like when you let a giant flood kill almost everyone on the planet that species may now refer to themselves as, "the drowned" which is a really cool affect and adds to the immersion. More of that please, make my guidance of these species really matter. Also, one last thing, give me some sort of review or stats panel at the end of the game. I know during the game you can see a planets history so let me look at how everything turns out at the end. The end of a game right now is very anticlimactic but doesn't ruin the experience.

Graphics: They are pleasant. The art style is minimalistic and I enjoy it. I also enjoy that the pictures of the aliens get updated as they progress through tech. My only negative is that I think the backdrops for the events could use more variation, I got a little tired of seeing the same images over and over for some events.

Sound: Not a lot here but what is is satisfactory. I only had this section because there's one song that plays that has this really distracting beat that completely takes me out of the game of it whenever it comes on. Sometimes the dynamic music has problems too as it'll come in super loud and then immediately drop off. Kind of jarring.

Bugs: Quite a few, especially with the UI. It's fairly easy to glitch out and have the bubble icons from one screen get stuck as you move across planets. I also experienced one planet send out a colony ship and when it found another planet it moved on to another one that also ended up being populated and then just bounced back and forth between those two planets for the rest of the game. Overall though there's nothing game breaking or super distracting. It's early access so I'm sure this will be fixed.

Overall: It's a really neat game so far and I think it has even more potential. I would definitely recommend it but I would probably wait till they add more content to pick it up. I think $20 is a relatively fair price but maybe $10 would be the golden number. Anyway, thanks for the cool game devs. Looking forward to more.

I want to come back and write a more thorough review later but for now what I'll say is that this is a great game with some real potential. Netcode and gunplay can use some work but the teamwork, the community in general, and the vibes of this game are impeccable and I have had a lot of fun. Hope it gets a serious esports following.

This game is a lot of fun to kill time in. I love the abstraction of the scale of everything. You play with small numbers but the map is large and you have lots of units to command so the scale always feels large. The graphics aren't amazing but they're enjoyable for what their worth (I personally really enjoy how destruction affects the environment.) The music does get a bit grating and there are some bugs time to time, but for the little price I paid, and considering the fact there's only one developer behind this, I would recommend a buy, a hesitant one at least. Definitely fun, just hoping for an update soon.
