Phantom Liberty is enough to be the base story of this game; the theme and scenery capture you to this new gritty world, which I assume is the initial vision of the original creator, which is more effective, in my opinion. The story, either of the choices presented to you, leaves you with a hollow feeling far from the original endings.

I still recommend the whole game for its updated gameplay. My go-to whenever a game tells you to play your style is loud espionage, and Cyberpunk lets you do it well, even if you don't opt for full net runner. It is undoubtedly fun, but in a nutshell, base Cyberpunk 2077 is just a three-piece (as a nomad/street kid/corpo) extensive run-of-the-mill campaign. Replaying gets unexciting, especially if you are not keen on changing your playstyle for a different outcome and the fact that life paths only affect a little.

Overall, 8/10. With Phantom Liberty boosting it. This game could've been one of the best if they had three years to ensure it worked before selling to the masses and having us observe a bit of the game's plot in real life. xd
