so they brought the game to a new engine, just so it can still look like ass and have 10% of the content as the previous version while resetting everyones MTX. cool.

The game is pretty great, BUT there is one major complaint I have. The games difficulty doesn't really exist once your amulet is charged. This makes it feel overly easy in my opinion, as when you pull out the amulet to extract, it completely pauses the game. This means you have to be not paying attention to ever lose a kit. fairly early on i was making 5-15k a run, and charging your amulet only costs 1k gold. with this you dont even need to make it half way thru a run to extract. You can be falling to your death and just hit the amulet button and you are magically safe and extract with 0 punishments. It kinda makes the whole risk reward thing feel like a gimmick more than a meaningful mechanic. PLEASE for the love of god nerf the amulet, and maybe even nerf pausing the game to heal. or give us the option to play a hard mode where you cant do these things.

I think this might actually be the greatest game I have ever played. Whenever I start describing my dream game, I almost always just end up describing Mortal. It is not a perfect game by any means, and it is not going to appeal to everyone, but the ones who do resonate with it REALLY REALLY resonate with it.

There is no other game like this on the market, the immersion levels are off the charts. Community can be as awesome or ♥♥♥♥♥♥ as you would like depending on where you choose to live/ which guilds you hang out with. Build diversity is very good, with every choice being meaningful and most of my builds are just barely possible, with me squeezing every last point out of my build in order to make it all come together. I have made a big thursar (think half orc) warrior, a healer mage that also can tame giant animals and use them to fight, an arcane archer who shoots bows from horseback and uses magic to heal any damage they or the horse have taken in combat, and a beastmaster, fighter tamer hybrid. Each build has felt totally unique to play with their own advantages and disadvantages.

I am 583 hours in at the moment and don't see myself stopping anytime soon. I genuinely think this game is only going to keep getting better and picking up steam with players. Since they started subscriptions, the progress on the game has been going at lightspeed with tons of great additions constantly being deployed. If you are starting up and need a mentor feel free to reach out to Barakuza or Barakuzah in game I would be happy to help out a new player.

Did I enjoy my time with this game? It was alright.
Do I recommend this game? Hell no lol.

This game is the ARPG genre boiled down into its simplest form, taking the "number goes up" and gear grind formula from them and turning it into some sort of back alley drug. It is super fun at first seeing all the numbers go up and getting new gear and skills. But eventually you realize all melee weapons feel the same, both ranged weapons end up feeling similar, there is almost 0 diversity in builds outside of weapon and skill choice. In the end your choice of skill is the only thing that really matters and will be how you deal all your damage. You will just get gear that buffs your weapon and skill of choice and that's it you have your build. There are some cool progression mechanics and that is the main thing this game does well, you are always moving some sort of number up. Outside of the progression mechanics the game feels very janky, skills dont interact with each other or have skill trees for any sort of player expression, and as a whole it just left me feeling kinda dirty, and wondering why I wasnt playing any of the other ARPGs I own.

I imagine thats the main type of person who will enjoy this game, someone that has already played PoE, played Last Epoch, Grim Dawn, hell I would even recommend playing Heroes Siege or Torchlight Infinite over this. But if your a degenerate like me and have played all of those games to hell then you may get some brief enjoyment from this game, and the pricetag is low. if your one of those people, go buy Siralim Ultimate right now and play that, theres no way you have played that one too right? Well if you have, then buy this at your own risk. The numbers do be going up tho.

The comeback this game deserved. After playing the previous version in the trenches of delay based netcode the new additions and netcode make this feel like a victory lap for lovers of GBVS. The price is a little steep for whats essentially a bad ass update but there is a free version that you can try if you want to check it out.

Used to be one of my favorite games back when it had solos and duos. Im not gonna play with randoms in trios so it looks like I wont be playing this game anymore. Sadge. BRING BACK SOLOS. BRING BACK DUOS.

While I think this game is very impressive, and many people are likely to enjoy it, I am going to give it a negative review for the time being. With there being only one developer, bugs and issues are forgivable to some degree imo, but the one thing that completely ruins my experience is the difficulty. It is completely non existent to the point it almost feels insulting. In a FPS fight with 5 opponents, I can stand perfectly still with no cover and it takes the AI nearly 1 minute to kill me. In a space battle try 5 minutes of me sitting still not fighting back. They might actually never kill me due to the ship shield recharge rate. Keep in mind this was with the worst possible ship with 0 upgrades.

During one of the first missions a couple capitol ships interrupt a battle and the game informs you that you are way too weak to fight them and you should run. I sat still and killed both of the capitol ships, and they didnt even manage to take my shields to 50% let alone scratch my ships hull.

I dont want to think about how easy it will be once you get actually geared. The lack of difficulty pretty much invalidates all the other content in this game, as it is not rewarding and there is no reason to seek out more power as at lvl 1 your pretty much the most powerful being in the universe.

This game is not for everyone, but the people that it is for will likely enjoy it quite a bit. If you are a fan of the STALKER series than this game is a no-brainer. The games progression and sense of community is one of the best I've seen, even if half the players don't speak much english. The games developers seem like they actually care as far as I can tell, they are fairly transparent with their plans and at the moment there is practically 0 P2W features on the NA server. The only thing that can give you an advantage is if you do a monthly sub you get like 10% more mats and I think 2 extra quests a week. Other than that you gotta earn every weapon or armor.

I do have some complaints, mostly about how much running to get from one point to the other there is. In this game when you die you only lose the loot you gathered on that run and any ammo you might have. But much more valuable than that is the time lost. There are times when you have to run for almost 10 minutes, dodging players and anomalies the whole way. Sometimes when its your 5th journey to an area you need to loot, and you keep dying at some point on the journey, it can be very discouraging. Even more so than a game like tarkov I would say, because you dont get any XP outside of rep in this game, so if you die you have truly just wasted your time and gained nothing.

Dont let this discourage you from trying, the game is very fun and the progression is satisfying when your not getting blocked by bad luck. Gunplay is weirdly really good for a minecraft/roblox based game. Landing headshots with a Mosin feels pretty damn good, and the games balance is actually pretty good overall. Every weapon and armor type has a place that it excels. I play solo mostly, but if you had a group of STALKER fans to play this with I imagine it would be an amazing time.

A well made raid style game with space combat and the ability to board/steal other peoples ships, as well as locations to land and go on raids for loot. Its probably the most hardcore of all the raid style games, and to me so far seems to have the least forgiving economy. you can at least spawn in with a free ship and pistol for some 0 risk runs however which is nice. Being a solo player is hard but possible and rewarding. 6/6 would get breached again.
