This game has a really good artstyle! I've been loving spending a lot of time just looking at the card illustrations and just the game overall. On top of that, the fact that the game has a card fusion mechanic really makes it feel unique enough to stand out for me at least. That said, my one and biggest gripe with the game in its current state is the UI lag. This lag is very frequent in every battle section of each run and it just sometimes kills the flow for me. To paint a better picture, I'll list some of the cases:
- Stats of both sides only updating after ending turn, which means that sometimes, you or the enemy is already dead but you find yourself sending attacks that for some reason aren't registering.
- Your armor may update later than expected after an enemy attacks, possibly causing some miscalculations.
- In the reward selection screen, sometimes the selected card indicator is outside the border? Not as annoying but just annoying.
In spite of that, it looks like the developers are being very responsive and I believe these problems will eventually be fixed. If you enjoy slay the spire like games like I do, specially for this price, I think it's a game worth getting.
